Kerry has either known for decades that he was lying or he was under the illusion that his fantasies were true. You have to wonder if the shock of being exposed could cause him to decompensate (?) either mentally or physically or both.

This reminds me of a few posts I've read re the Hacking case... that compulsive liars/sociopaths/manipulators become very unstable and potentially dangerous when they realize that they have been irreversibly exposed.

I think we are reading into this what we want. I think he is doing what he has to. I do not believe it is desperation, and with the willing accomplicies in the media it is no surety that he will drop markedly in the polls.

The first ad they ran (swifties) was not nearly as good as this last one. The last one with the POWs is perfect. Focuses the debate squarley between Kerry and the POWs. Kerry will get killed by these ads if they can get alot of airtime in the battleground states.
