McCullough: "STOP PICKING ON JOHN KERRY"
WMCA-NY ^ | 8.22.2004

Posted on 08/22/2004 4:04:24 PM PDT by KMC1

The "John Flapjack Kerry" camp is in complete disarray. Now look, you diehard dems know it and you can see it playing out right before your eyes.

I know that now you're thinking to yourself thoughts like "I wonder if Dick Gephardt would be in this position?" or "Jo-motion wouldn't have had these kinds of issues..."

AND YOU'RE RIGHT...

But you let the nut-wing lefties wrestle control away from you in the primaries. The reasonable ones among you did not speak up when Farenheit 9/11 called into question the patriotism of even our nation's military service men and women. And even when there were 59 specific points of fact that were proven false in the Michael Moore "film" you just sat there assuming that your guy was taking a lead and that he would make it all good after the election.

ON THAT YOU'RE NOT RIGHT...

John Kerry has proven to be one constant mistake after another. You know it and I know it. I mean for crying out loud he couldn't even get the Ohio State Buckeyes/Michigan Wolverine thing straight and its only the biggest rivalry in all of College sports...

Kerry's decision to take on the Swift Boat Vets publicly suddenly gave them mainstream attention in the media. And people, even IN the media are figuring out that these guys aren't pulling this stuff out of their backsides. Nope, the SBVs are reasonable - even likable people. Some of them are democrats, some of them are republicans, some of them are independents. Some of them would have supported a Gephardt for President without question. Some of them voted for McCain. But one thing is clear - they think Kerry is a danger as commander in chief. And I don't know about you but when an officer's ENTIRE chain of command pegs him a bad apple - to me it counts for something.

NOW THEY'VE GONE AND DONE IT...

Just about the time Kerry started his belly-aching about the Swift Boat Vets (shameless plug here - John O'Neil/my show/on Tuesday), they had to move on to what I believe will be a far MORE damaging ad. Using Kerry's own voice they juxtapose him saying how they had cut off ears, and heads, and electrically shocked people's gentials, with former Prisoners of War who underwent torture to keep from admitting what John Kerry said before the Senate for free.

This is what will KILL John Kerry - from this point forth on the Veterans vote - and for Kerry - to the Vet's - he's dead.

And according to polls out this weekend it looks like his position on Partial Birth abortion (he supports it), Live Birth Abortion (he supports it), Abortion on demand (he supports it), and aggressively promoting the gay agenda and ready to do the bidding of the "same sex marriage" lobby (he supports them all) - the Catholics have had it with him too.

Add to that the fact that Bush is polling 28% of the African American vote in California and 43% of the Latino vote in that same state and this all just has to make you hate life.

And by the way - when John Kerry went from "Bring it on..." to "Stop it their picking on me..." he pretty much lost the whole "ability to lead" thing as well...

AND THAT'S JOHN KERRY AND HE'S "REPORTING FOR DUTY"...

"A Kerry Presidency will only spell government retaliation for every last one of them."

Kerry is certainly stupid enough to go after them if he's elected, but I know the American people who support the Swifties now will rise up and defend them again.

For those of you with sturdy constitutions, I recommend a trip to DU Land to scan some of the threads. I think they are beginning to see the writing on the wall (the shorter words, anyway) and are freaking out all over. If the level of obscenity in their posts is an indication of their state of mind they are about ready for restraints and strong meds.

Nice! You wrote this, I see. Funny how the left really liked the 527's funded at the multi-MILLION dollar levels, but sudently aren't so fond of the SwiftVets for the Truth orgnization... Which reminds me, I need to click on over to that old web mag and underground place to update their body count ;)

They've been ready for that since the 60's when most of them fried their brains on acid. What you are describing is total meltdown. Blub-blub-blub-bubble-blub.

The best thing Kerry could have done was to ignore it and mitigate the damage to what the Swifites could afford themselves.

I truly expected them to do so. But it shows how much the ad has hurt them in Ohio. They had no choice but to respond.

I'm sure the RNC will cover those issues when their ad blitz begins...

The Dems have already blew their wad on Bush; he washed it off and returned to work.

This is the first real shot taken at Kerry, and here he is again, screaming for a band-aid and a Purple heart. Vietnam flashback, John?

Apparently they have something big planned for late September, early October.

Funny you should mention that.

Great article! But one disagreement:

the Ohio State Buckeyes/Michigan Wolverine thing straight and its only the biggest rivalry in all of College sports...

Around here, it's Duke/Maryland in basketball. We've never heard of Buckeyes and Wolverines.

"Live Birth Abortion (he supports it)"

WTH is -that-?!?
It's the first I've heard of such a thing.
Wouldn't that technically be killing a live already born baby?

Actually, it should have been "stop, they're..."

I don't care, but all the Kerry fantaics will have the word to attack. I guess you gotta give them something.

Yes, John O'Neill stated the other night(on Brit Hume's show, I believe it was)that he is USNA Class of '67 and graduated #1 in his law school class at UT(Austin).

Here’s a Letter to the Editor I just sent to our local rag. Feel free to copy and send to yours as well. Seems timely.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Below is a Letter to the Editor on which I would appreciate your consideration. Please call me if you have questions concerning this submission. Thank you for your consideration.

Also, should you elect to print this letter, please use my email address with my name so anyone that would like to comment may via email.

=======

Kerry Can’t Stand the Heat

Wasn't it John Kerry who recently said "Bring it on" if anyone wanted to scrutinize his often repeated exploits during and after the Vietnam War? That brings to mind a schoolboy picking a fight in a school yard and hoping the target doesn’t take him up on it.

Now, 254 of his former Swift Boat crewmates who have signed affidavits and are appearing in Television ads against him took him up on his call out. Former POWs are speaking out stating the congressional testimony John Kerry gave was fodder for the Vietnamese as they were tortured. They took Sen. Kerry up on his attempted intimidation.

Now Mr. Kerry would like them to back off. Using the same analogy he is begging for someone, anyone to make them stop. However, Kerry's actions during and upon his return from Vietnam should not be beyond reproach. His anti-war actions and allegations against veterans should not be shielded from scrutiny.

Instead of taking the “positive approach” that he said he would, Kerry (as most liberals) sees all manner of conspiracies in the opposition. President Bush on the other hand has endured a year of daily lambasting by Kerry surrogates and a willing media partner. I don’t recall President Bush once asking someone, anyone to pull them off.

As a veteran, which type of individual do I want in my foxhole?

=======

Thank you for your consideration. We enjoy and rely on your paper!

Respectfully yours,
Me

The pledged to defend the country against its enemies, foreign and domestic. This is their true fight for the Republic; Nam was just a warm up act 35 years earlier.

Have you noticed that on the ad with Rood, it first shows a young Gen. Colin Powell? Will they remove the ad??? I don't think I'll hold my breath.
