Yes he did. Nixon was inaugurated on December 20, 1968. The inauguration was a month early because it was a Leap Year.

That's a stetch.

It was actually January 20 in VietNam, because you lose a month when you cross the International Date Line going West. Geezzz...everybody knows that! How else could it be Christmas and Nixon sending secret troops and Kerry actually in Cambodia in that January Christmas?
