There have been many stories over the past few days on the fundraising totals for Bush and Kerry which have mentioned the 527s.

The big difference is Zach worked for Dean then Moveon then Kerry. Kerry just hired some of the best online talent including people who worked for Clark, Dean, and Edwards.

Ken Cordier appreared in the anti-Kerry ad while he was a member of the Bush campaign.

The email posted above from Kerry was part of a primary Moveon held among their members to see if they would make an early endorsement of any candidate. Most of the Democrats sent a similar email. Dean came in first, but didn't get more than 50% for the endorsement.

If moveon.org was covered by Tim Russert, maybe we will hear more about it. Truth has a way of rising like cream from the milk.

Now why would the media remark on the connection? The media and Moveon are in lockstep in their activities to destroy the soveriegnty of the United States and turn us into a lackey for the commies at the UN.

Well at least we know the sKerry didn't write this letter but merely signed it (wouldn't surprise me if some Moveon.idiot wrote it)since sKerry has not even been at work enough to know what would be going on in the Senate or what judges would be up for nomination.

I still wonder if Kerry offered McCain the SecDef position if McCain would support him, or at least not attack him?

I just don't trust McCain.

Cordier will not 'appear' in the ad until it gets first aired Monday (tomorrow).

How do you know how long ago it has been since Cordier has
done any volunteer work for Bush?

No need to wonder... Kerry is a dirty-deal maker.
Remember when he offered to reverse his 'smear' of Hoffman if only
Hoffman would lie for him?

The ad has been shown thousands of times already as part of news stories and it was shot while he was still listed on Bush's website as a member of the veterans steering committee when he made it.

Is MoveOn.org REALLY a 527 group?

I have the feeling MoveOn is a PAC. Are the no-fraternizing rules the same?

Their own website requires donors to certify the following:

So how does that square with reports of MILLIONS donated to moveon.org by several democRATS?

[as of April 2004, MoveOn's] first quarter fund raising showed nearly half its $6.98 million came from Peter Lewis, chairman of Progressive Corporation, a Cleveland insurance company, and billionaire philanthropist George Soros. Lewis has donated $2 million to the group and Soros has given more than $1 million, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Sunday.

Oooooooooh, it must be a big CONSPIRACY.

It's beyond the pale that a U.S. citizen would volunteer to serve the Bush/Cheney campaign, and on his own volition support the Swift Boat Veterans for the Truth, hm?

Why, that must be illegal somehow. Surely no citizen would decide on his own who he wishes to support. He must have had his alliances dictacted to him by Karl Rove, right?

Good grief.

There are two groups. Moveon.org and the Moveon PAC.

http://moveon.org/about/

http://www.moveonpac.org/whoweare.html

There are lots of non-profits (both conservative and liberal) which have a main group and then a PAC or other organization that can engage in more overt political activity such has donating to candidates.

The issue is the Bush campaign has slammed the Kerry campaign because of the 527s and claimed there was coordination. In this case, someone from the Bush campaign appeared in a 527's ad.

And there was reporting that Rove did have a role in the attacks on McCain in 2000.

If Kerry fired this dude, then the Kerry campaign would have to find some other method for coordination with moron.org.

What's in it for Kerry?

Major Garrett made general reference to connections on Friday. I suspect he will follow up this week. His reports have been very even.

Yes, once again I know all of that and big "so what"?

BTW, as to the McCain 2000 issue, one of the POWS in the newest Swift Vet ad was the Virginia chairman of McCain 2000.

So much for this being the same group that was out to get McCain back then.

That was never true. A vicious lie. Just the type I notice you like to spread.

This is the "attack" on McCain as you so quaintly put it. BTW, I live in South Carolina and that attack has been way over-stated.

As you will see from the transcript below, McCain thinks it's wrong for the president to stand next to a man who attacked Bush's father but okay for McCain to stand next to a man who calls Christians bigots.

MCCAIN: Well, this same man -- he stood next to him, it was his event. This same man had attacked his father viciously.

BUSH: Yes, he did. Let me speak to that. Let me speak to that.

MCCAIN: So I'd be glad to tell you the rest of the story, if you'd let me, when it's appropriate.

BUSH: Let me -- let me answer that.

MCCAIN: You should be ashamed -- you should be ashamed of sponsoring an event with that man there whop had attacked your own father.

BUSH: Let me say something, John. Let me finish. Let me finish. John, I believe that you served our country nobly. And I've said it over and over again. That man wasn't speaking for me. He may have a dispute with you...

MCCAIN: He was at your event.

BUSH: Let me finish please, please.

MCCAIN: He's listed as your (inaudible)

BUSH: Let me finish. Let me finish.

KING: All right, let him finish.

BUSH: The man was not speaking for me. If you want to know my opinion about you, John, you served our country admirably and strongly, and I'm proud of your record, just like you are. And I don't appreciate what he said about my dad, either. But let me say something, if you're going to be -- hold me responsible for what people for me say, I'm going to do the same for you. And let me give you one example. Warren Rudman, the man who you had as your campaign man in New Hampshire, said about the Christian Coalition that they're bigots. He talked about the Christian Coalition in a way that was incredibly strong. I know you don't believe that, do you?

MCCAIN: George, he's entitled to his opinion on that issue.
