"George Bush is up to his old tricks."
LIAR!
The President has nothing to do with this ad, and even the phrase "old tricks" is overloaded with hate.

John McCain, its Dday. Whose side are you on? "You're either for us or against us." You can't continue this game.

Didn't McCain do a Time (or Newsweek, US News ??) interview in the early 70s in which said that Kerry's statements were used by N. Viet guards to torment him?

Why does he hide behind McCain? Why doesn't he just come out and respond to the charges by his colleagues?
Cowardice?

I am surprised that McCain allowed himself to be used like this... but then again, maybe I should not be so surprised.

John Kerry: A Navy Dove Runs for Congress
By SAMUEL Z. GOLDHABER
Crimson Staff Writer
"...One time Kerry was ordered to destroy a Viet Cong village
but disobeyed orders and suggested that the Navy Command
simply send in a Psychological Warfare team to be
friend the villagers with food, hospital supplies,
and better educational facilities."

When Kerry came back from Nam and was recalled into the USNR, he was courtmartialed and eventually, convicted of a form of treason. To avoid serving hard time at Leavenworth, he was elected to the Senate. Kerry is in the Senate solely because a member of the legislative branch is immune to punishment by the executive branch.
Kerry had the bucks to buy a pardon from Willie, but the matter would have been public.
Kerry must release his military records or we will assume that he was convicted of treason. What was Lt. Calley actually convicted of and at about what time frame?

when "fringe veterans groups" attacked him at a Bush campaign function, Bush stood by and didn't say a word. If true, So?
I'm sure he can take care of his own trivialities and doesn't need Dubya to speak for him.

Mr. Kerrry you are on video tape acting as the ad hoc representative of the enemy in 1971, and are on record presenting the Communist surrender demands directly to the United States Senate.
Coupled with Madam Binh's "Eight Point" surrender demand you leveled bizarre, baseless and scurrilous accusations against the decent men of the United States military in VietNam.
You have no excuses - there can be no excuse.

What's the point? I mean, if Kerry has facts to back up his wild-eyed accusations, let's hear them. If not, then let's, ahem, move on.
This is a diversion tactic, nothing more.

The ad is devestating to John McCain. How in the world this is supposed to help Kerry is far far tooo nuanced for most.
And one wonders if McCain supports using his name and image for a Kerry ad.

Kerry and the DNC are desperate. In total panic mode. Grasping at straws to find any way to beat the Swiftvets. They know if the swifties aren't stopped kerry is finished.

Kerry is going about this the wrong way. He campaigns with the promise to get those who hate the USA to come around and be friendly. Well, here's his opportunity to show his diplomatic side, to get the SwiftVets to come around and be more friendly to him.
It's a golden opportunity, John. Whatever you do, don't just whine and stamp your feet, and demand they shut up.
