Is it confirmed that Kerry's boat was rocked by an explosion? I thought he panicked and fled when the other boat hit a mine? And was there firing from the shore?

No. It's the Wash Compost version of events. No enemy action, and no 2nd "unidentified explosion."

The second explosion is the new element added to save Kerry's ass. Without it Kerry looks like the poser he is. Note that Kerry NOW admits the other boats did not flee. Why does the WaPo fail to mention this character assassination and exaggeration? Water-boys!
