"... restrict U.S. Border Patrol's arrest of illegal aliens ... failed to consider the 'sensitivities'... ." "Sensitivities" be damned. What are we, chopped liver here?
ICE only has 2,300 agents to find 80,000 criminal aliens. Which also means that no one is bothering to round up the other few million illegal immigrants permanently camped out here and sucking up our tax dollars in services.
According to authorities, over 1.2 million people attempt to cross US borders illegally each year. Some are from nations defined as state sponsors of potential terrorism and/or even nations that have produced large numbers of al-Qaeda militants.

Seper had the Clinton's nailed to the outhouse door; first at the Times and then again in The Nation, but the political squalls blew them free, landed Seper on the wrong side of Foggy Bottom and he's just now resurfacing to attack the current administration with smooth, flat river rocks that will skip harmlessly downstream?
What's next, a David Brock style epiphany?

ICE only has 2,300 agents for interior-enforcement. As The Times reports, those agents are tasked to finding the "80,000 criminal aliens on the nation's streets and 320,000 foreign nationals known as 'absconders,' who fled after being ordered deportedNot all ICE agents are proficient in Spanish. Only legacy INS and Border Patrol investigators have the ability to detain and process illegal aliens. Legacy Customs does not. So there's probably less than a thousand ICE agents that have the experience and resources to pursue illegal aliens. Legacy Customs investigators need to be sent to school to learn Spanish. They have to be given access to ENFORCE and they have to be taught how to do the paperwork. Legacy INS and Border Patrol investigators should run anti-smuggling operations at least until Customs learns how to do it. Will this happen? I doubt it.

If terrorists decide to blow up Los Angeles before Nov. 2, and they sneaked over the border to do it, Kerry will have something big to mouth off about and Bush will lose.

If terrorists decide to blow up Los Angeles before Nov. 2, and they sneaked over the border to do it, Kerry will have something big to mouth off about and Bush will lose.... and Kerry won't do anything about the border afterwards! Instead, he'll enhance security by doing his damndest to ban guns for citizens.
