Remember: Bush was a fighter pilot during the Vietnam Era. But, remember the outrage when he wore a flight suit to land on an aircraft carrier last year.

Yet, the RATS have been waving the bloody shirt for months about their man.

Here's a useful resource for those discussing
GW's service: F-102, Vietnam & George W. Bush

It was not smart of the Kerry campaign to bring this up.

This is going to result in the public learning that Bush
signed up for a more dangerous assignment. Swifts were
only being used for water taxi and coastal (not up-river)
patrol when Kerry signed up for them. F-102As were being
used in combat in VN when GW signed up, and the a/c was
inherently dangerous. My guess is that the F-102A
accident rate was higher than the combat loss rate for
some other a/c types.

This is starting to really backfire for Kerry.

I believe that we will see Nam Vets get political for the first time since they returned from Nam. They are becoming aware that Kerry was/is one of the main reasons they were spit on and hated for serving their country in Nam.
