WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. Edward Kennedy is not alone.
A second prominent lawmaker said Friday that he's been subjected to extra security at airports because his name appears on a list designed to prevent terrorists from boarding planes.
Rep. John Lewis, D - Georgia, a nine-term congressman famous for his civil rights work with the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., has been stopped 35 to 40 times over the past year, his office said.
Kennedy, D-Massachusetts, told a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on border security Thursday that he's been stopped several times because his name appeared on an airline watch list.
Lewis contacted the Department of Transportation, the Department of Homeland Security and executives at various airlines in a so-far fruitless effort to get his name off the list, said spokeswoman Brenda Jones.

So? They are listed as backers or members of subversive terrorist organizations.
They deserve to WALK --- the plank preferably.

Yeah, but they only stop him long enough to get all the tiny little liquor bottles off the plane.
No Clintons???? |
Last night on his radio program on WABC New York, Mark Levin speculated that it may have a "no drunk" list that caused problems for Kennedy.
They should also have Kennedy on a DO NOT DRIVE LIST (especially over Bridges).
And a DO NOT SERVE list.
I seem to remember something about Senator Swimmer adding a clause to some immigration legislation awhile back that specifically prohibited agents from asking foreigners about associations with terrorist organizations. Maybe someone out there has a better memory of old Teddy-no-pants' record.
Rightfully so. Both rats. Make them drive to and from Washington. That way, they will have less time to screw up our country by voting stupidly.
Why are these terrorists using the names of prominent Democrats?
Nice photoshop skills. How'd you get Senator Kennedy so thin?
Did John Lewis kill someone too?
Our local talk radio station ran a story on U-Boat Teddy put on the list. I laughed so hard I began to swerve.
