The newest ad takes Kerry's testimony out of context, editing what he said to distort the facts.

Funny, Hugh Hewitt played the entire testimony on his show about a month ago...nothing in the swiftboat ad was taken out of context.

Hugh! If you're reading this how about a comment?

the kerry camp should have supported GOP efforts to have 527's declared a violation of mccain/feingold. at the time, their silence was because the dems -- through the pocketbook of george soros -- had a monopoly on the verbal violence from these shadowy groups. NOW, however, the shoe is on the other foot, and the kerry korps are squealing like school girls.

I think team bush could turn this into yet another kerry flip-flop if they play it right; "I'm john kerry, and I supported 527's as long as they were mauling the other guy. but now that I've gotten a very small dose of my own medicine, I think it's all dirty tricks !".

presidents should be made of tougher stuff than this.

Pro-kerry groups have spent some $ 3 million against bush since september, and there are no fewer than 17 officials with those groups who had or retained ties to the democratic national committee, the kerry campaign, or democratic policies.

I just watched Special Report on Fox again. Major said $63 million.

Oh man, the ego of Lord Kerry! Of course he could sue like any normal American, but he knows he would lose. So he tries to bring in the storm troopers!

Levin just said that anybody with a pen and a piece of toilet paper can file a complaint with the FEC but that it takes months to be ruled on and it would likely be after the election. He states that it's just the resurrected Clintonoids trying to use the headline to spin it and make it look like it's false.

Kerry Campaign Statement on New Swift Boat Veterans for Bush Ad

8/20/2004 5:16:00 PM

To: National Desk, Political Reporter

Contact: Chad Clanton or Phil Singer, both of Kerry-Edwards 2004, 202-464-2800; Web: http://www.johnkerry.com

WASHINGTON, Aug. 20 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Kerry-Edwards campaign spokesman Chad Clanton released the following statement today about the new Swift Boat Veterans for Bush ad:

"This is another ad from a front group funded by Bush allies that is trying to smear John Kerry. The newest ad takes Kerry's testimony out of context, editing what he said to distort the facts. He testified as a 27 year-old Vietnam veteran. He opposed a war that, at that point, cost over 44,000 lives of the 58,245 names that are on the Vietnam Memorial wall. It says a lot that the President refuses to condemn this smear. The American people want to hear how we're going to cut health care costs and strengthen the economy, not smears."

------

Paid for by Kerry-Edwards 2004, Inc.

And Kerry's treason had a hand in the 14,245 who died after he gave aid and comfort to the enemy. How many more will die due to Kerry's lies and treason?

This is a huge risk for the Kerrisites. A very public slapdown by the FCC will just add to their woes. They must see catasrophe in their future to roll the dice like this.

It's more than a risk. It's lose/lose either way. If the FCC slaps them down, the benefits are obvious. If they agree with the Kerry campaign, grassroot protests hit the streets. If there is one thing the American people dislike it is people censoring what they can hear, see and read.

So often when I donate $$ to various conservative political organizations, I often wonder if the money is being well spent, and if I'm really helping.

Not so with donating to SwiftVets! I am positive that the money I have donated is helping to sink the biggest jerk who ever ran for the presidency...and that is saying a lot considering the treasonous clinton regime.

Silencing decorated American Vets . He's attempting to remove their right to free speech. He also wants their books removed form book store shelves.

No wonder he sided with the communists in Viet Nam. He thinks just like them!

Kerry keeps using the old Hillary defense: It is a Vast Right Wing Conspiracy.

The trouble is, Kerry is using that on every negative that arises.

Kerry has over-used the complaint and it has lost its impact.

" His lies have caught up with him and that he's lied about so many things makes me question his mental health."

Me too.
Imagine if this was President Bush:

The words of Teresa Kerry-not the SBVFT, not George Bush, not Rush Limbaugh, etc.
And again-2 years ago.

Rolling Stone, April 11, 2002 " John Kerry, Ready For His Close Up,"-Paul Alexander
(BTW- This was posted on www.johnkerry.com)

"Soon Heinz discovered that, for Kerry, Vietnam is a subject that is never far away. "

"Even in his sleep, Kerry is haunted by Vietnam in nightmares."
"The first nightmare I heard, I was actually not with him, Heinz says."

"Before we got married,( they started dating in 1994 and married in May 95 ) I was sleeping with one of his daughters in this little shed, a little barn, it was."
"He was in this little room next door."

"Then, all of a sudden, I heard this tremendous banging on the wall."
"I said, 'Oh!'
And Alex said, 'It's just Dad.'

" Kerry laughs an uneasy laugh."

"So I went back to bed,
Heinz continues, and he hit the walls again,"

"and I said, 'Holy mackerel!'
"The next morning, I said,
'What did you dream about?'
"He said, 'Why?'

"I said, 'Because you broke down the house, almost.'
He said, 'Vietnam.'

Or this :
As reported in the Washington Post, June 2, 2002 "The Heart of Politics "

By Mark Leibovich
Washington Post Staff Writer
Sunday, June 2, 2002; Page F01

Excerpt: "When Kerry is asked about the nightmares that haunted his sleep for years after he returned from Vietnam, he shrugs.
"I don't think I've had a nightmare in a long time," he says.
But then Heinz begins to mimic Kerry having a Vietnam nightmare.

"Down! Down, down!" she yells, patting her hands down on her auburn hair.

"I haven't gotten slapped yet," she says. "But there were times when I thought I might get throttled."

Kerry quivers his right foot and steers the discussion to the counseling programs he has supported for Vietnam veterans.
Asked if he has been in therapy himself, he non-answers. "It doesn't bother me anymore, I just go back to sleep."

Heinz presses him. "Not therapy for the dreams, therapy for the angst," she says, and looks quizzically at him, awaiting an answer. Kerry shakes his head "No."
===
Or this :

Kerry told Brinkley in " Tour of Duty ," that he began sleepwalking and having nightmares in Vietnam.

Or this :

The Long War Of John Kerry," Joe Klein,The New Yorker, 2002

Kerry's old friend, George Butler details Kerry's muteness and withdrawal for at least a 3 day week end, following his election loss in 1972.
