Four of the eight are said to be U.S. residents, yet they appear to be using the services of smugglers. Most are (Christian?) Armenians, yet they tried to make a go of it in two rabidly Islamic countries. Instead of returning to almost purely Christian Armenia they ended up in Russia's capitol before being shipped to Mexico.

I give up - with the meager information given this makes no sense whatsoever.

I can't back this up with an article, however I do remember reading quite a few times that MEs coming from Mexico were always Christians according to Mexico.

Do the Iraquis, Iranians and Armenians all speak Farsi? Evidently, 4 spoke English. Can you imagine all the jibberish that went on in this group?

I am like you. Why did those residents come through Mexico using smugglers? It doesn't make sense.
