Here's the newest ad from the Swifties.
* Moderator note. For those using Firefox browser, you may need to use this link to see the ad
I tried to go look, and here is what I got back:
We can't find "swiftboats.net"
You can try again by typing the URL in the address bar above.

So then I tried swiftboatvets.com and it went to http://www.salon.com/opinion/conason/2004/05/04/swift/index_np.html
Excerpt: "The body is first to give up. You cannot keep yourself from passing out, throwing up, screaming. I discovered that the more the body convulsed involuntarily, the more I could observe it as though it belonged to someone else. I found I could intellectualize pain, which allowed me to take a quantum leap in my tolerance of it. Sometimes, though, the problem was staying in touch with reality enough to keep alive. Detaching oneself too much has an insidious narcotic effect that invades one's reason and dulls normal danger signals. This is probably the way nature helps us die without being all tensed up."
And the young, safely Stateside Lieutenant John Kerry handed the Viet Cong more tools.
How does a released POW come home and stomach John Kerry?
Ahem. So Kerry has officially acknowledged that groups like the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry and POW/MIA Families Against John Kerry are NOT right wing hacks but men who have held a grudge against Kerry's actions for 35 years.
He then admitted he's LYING when he says they're nothing more than tools of the Republican Party, that he's AWARE these are the parties he injured with his VVAW activities, AWARE they hold a grudge and is saying we should all just put the past behind us?
Just checking.
[O'Neill with swift boat picture on screen behind him]That's all they need to say."Two weeks ago Swift Boat Veterans for Truth ran its first ad pointing out the inconsistencies in John Kerry's version of events when he served in Viet Nam. Kerry's spin machine immediately began to smear the personal integrity of these highly decorated veterans rather than address the specific questions we raised. Ironically, the Kerry campaign has now had to recant major portions of one of his claims, that he fought in Cambodia in 1968."
[List of Kerry's unreleased records begin to scroll on a screen behind him]
"Rather than make personal attacks on his fellow veterans, Kerry should simply release ALL his military records. The records listed here remain out of public view...Kerry has not released them. Those records will reveal who is telling the truth."
[Full screen--O'Neill's face]
"Tell John Kerry it's time to release ALL his records...and let the public decide."
The correct address is:
http://www.swiftvets.com
Thanks for the heads up. I LOVE Mark Steyn
I hope someone gets a screen capture of that. I don't have cable.
I've been trying to imagine what President Bush will think or does think when he is made aware of the text of this ad. (He said he hadn't seen the first one so maybe he's planning to get a summary of the second one also.) I can't see him rejoicing at its effect on Kerry but I can see him moved to tears at what those men, MEN, suffered and feeling outraged for kerry's part in inflicting the suffering, the net effect being a deeper and more passionate resolve TO WIN IN NOVEMBER.
Yes I know...someone earlier was saying how the DEMoRATs trick people by sending them to the wrong Web site. I just went to check out that wrong Web site (it was a typo) but then I tried something similar to see it go to Salon.com.
RATs are just pure downright hateful and deceitful human beings, aren't them?
Yes, it's his choice and no he doesn't have the right to expect other POWs to join with him. However, if he calls this "dishonorable and dishonest" or any phrase meaning the same thing, it will come back to bit him in his own home state, IMO.
I am hoping that what you experienced with your liberal co-worker will be multiplied over and over throughout America! If those who were against Bush see what Kerry's really made of, they may just decide to forgo this election.
and California Republicans with my $50.00.;-)"

Quite simply, they will have to take the side of the Viet Cong to do it.
Tactically they might use the attack angle that these are the words of deranged people who've obviously lost their minds from the strain of being tortured. (I hate even typing that, but it's important to "know thy enemy.") That seems impossible to me but the dems are so desperate, who can tell? Only Father Time can. And he will.
Glad to see my contribution was well spent. And boy was it. Great!
The 100 dwell on Mt. Olympus.
She should be sweating bullets by now.
In a just world, the two of them would have been tried as traitors a long time ago.
I just did the same and it felt really good! Over thirty years and we finally let Kerry know we never forgot what he did with his lies.
You can try again by typing the URL in the address bar above.
The "swiftboats.net" site may have been deleted from the DNS servers. I saw a post on FR earlier today that a "whois" check on it was returning some invalid contact information. The same thing happened to FR a few weeks to a month ago(?). I'm not certain when it happened to FR but it may have happened to these guys as well.
So then I tried swiftboatvets.com and it went to http://www.salon.com/opinion/conason/2004/05/04/swift/index_np.html
Yeah, that's a 'debunking' site that was set up after the Swiftees came on the scene.
I sure hope you're right.
I'm concerned about McCain giving a prime time speech at the Republican National Convention. In his misguided zeal to protect Kerry he could end up saying things indirectly damaging to Bush.
I don't trust McCain.
Compelling!
The Kerry-ites have foolishly invested heavily in the cover McCain provided them. He's not the most dependable ally when the chips are down.
