Among Sen. John Kerry's top fund-raisers are three Iranian-Americans who have been pushing for dramatic changes in U.S. policy toward the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Most prominent among them is Hassan Nemazee, 54, an investment banker based in New York. Nominated to become U.S. ambassador to Argentina by President Bill Clinton in 1999, Nemazee eventually withdrew his nomination after a former partner raised allegations of business improprieties.
Nemazee was a major Clinton donor, giving $80,000 to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) during the 1996 election cycle and attending at least one of the famous White House fund-raising coffees.

Thanks for the "correcto-type", WAS important!!
DoctorZIn seems to know alot about Iran. Sure hope he/she can help answer these questions. I also am curious as to why Kerry failed to look at the Iran half of Iran-Contra.

That you sent my answer to your previous message and not your question I think it will make it difficult for DrZln to answer that portion. You made the statement that just because the person was from Iran didn't mean he was a Muslim. And my reply was you are correct, but it doesn't mean he isn't. And with Kerry's connection to extreme groups I think it could bare looking into.
The conclusions I reach concerning the FBI files that you linked to are my conclusions from my own perspective. And I do not know this DoctorrZIn and he may be able to shed some light on Iran, but it wouldn't have an effect on my belief as to what my conclusions are concerning my posting. Unless the Doctor knows who this student is that spoke at an anti war rally where usually the speakers were radical leftists.

It reminds me of the '87 General Election in Ireland, where Colonel Ghaddafi congratulated Charles J Haughey on being elected Taoiseach [Prime Minister] - Haughey was, of course a good customer of Ghaddafi in the late sixties

If you are asking about Hassan Nemazee, he is an Iranian from Muslim heritage would supports dialog with the Mullahs of Iran. There are a number of American Iranians that have supported this approach. It is the approach the Mullahs of Iran prefer. I believe these people are either naive or working for the regime itself. Personally, I would assume the latter.
The Student Movement Coordination Committee for Democracy in Iran (a pro Iran student movement, pro US) has published information on Nemazee:

Due to SMCCDI's criticism of Nemazee they are being sued by Nemazee:

Regarding the question of his personal religious beliefs I am ignorant, but based on his support for the Mullahs of Iran's efforts, I am suspicious. Does this help?

Did you see the post earlier about his connection to BCCI?
I guess not, I don't remember seeing anything recently. Do you have the link? Thanks.

I am suspicious Yes, THAT helps! :)
There were too many cross-references in my questions. It did confuse the issue. But, basically validating the "suspicion" is very helpful. I think stockpirate is bringing to the table some really pertinent info. I appreciate your input!
I know this is a long-shot question, but do you have any clue how one could discover "who that Iranian student" was referred to in the FBI file? It seems to be a needle in a haystack quest. Sure would be nice to know what was said, by whom and what the "history" of the relationship has been.
