(CNSNews.com) - "There is no evidence the president's campaign has direct connections to the anti-Kerry veterans group," the Washington Post reported on Friday. The newspaper notes that the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth Campaign is hurting Kerry's candidacy: His campaign has been "flooded with calls from concerned veterans," the Washington Post said, and a CBS poll shows Kerry has lost "significant" veterans' support.
The Washington Post also points out that Kerry has struck back at Swift Boat Veterans for Truth -- without addressing some of the accusations.
"Instead of rebutting each charge, Kerry blamed Bush for sanctioning such highly personal attacks, the Washington Post said.
According to the newspaper, the Kerry campaign wants to convince voters that the Bush White House -- and Karl Rove -- are behind the Swift Boats' campaign, "at least in spirit." But the newspaper adds, "Many of the veterans affiliated with the anti-Kerry effort do not have obvious relationships with the Bush campaign, nor do some of its donors.""
The idea that Kerry was ever popular with veterans is a false premise. Most Vietnam veterans didn't need the SBVFT to expose Kerry's antiwar activities. The new information about Kerry's bogus awards and abbreviated tour in Vietnam just adds fuel to the fire.
Have you seen the thread on the sick Chris Matthews "spitting all over" Michelle Malkin last night? Matthews deserved and deserves to be smacked down physically.
O'Neil will be on Fox within the hour.
This story is dominating the news this a.m.
Somebody tell Kerry his ship is sinking and this time he's really under enemy fire.
"When the facts are against you, argue the law. When the law is against you, argue the facts. The facts and the law are against you, trash the witnesses."
Have you been hanging out with Slick lately?
(just a little early morning sarcasm)
Typical Democrap response - it is always somebody's else's fault - never theirs!

Uh-oh.
Thanks. I couldn't remember how that went.

So now they will try the Clinton approach "at least in spirit", make it a religious experience.
Talk about a bunch of stupid people it's not POLITICAL, it's not RELIGIOUS it's PERSONAL.
Another formulation would be, "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullsh*t."
Strike back at the charge, without specifically denying the charge or presenting evidence to the contrary.
The guy's a fraud. Otherwise he would have sued for libel and slander weeks ago. We gottem' on the ropes, no matter how many national liberal daily newspapers they can mobilize, after weeks of silence and ignoring the book and charges..
How about an investigation into the connections, ILLEGAL, of Moveon.org and the Kerry campaign.
And the media will back you 1000%.
The Kerry campaign is in a corner and they might have to surrender to the Swift Vets.
It's amazing to me how Kerry and Co. have played into the hands of Swift Vets, by stressing his service record above all else at the convention, Edward's invitation to "spend three minutes with the men who served with Kerry", and the poor strategic decisions Kerry and Co. have made since this Swift Boat Vets for Truth matter first arose.
You are against proving Kerry is a liar?
Good point! For example if Kerry defends his service now, he appears self-serving.
It was a poor moral compass that caused Kerry to brag about his own war record, and to forget that he had slandered many other good men who he served with. Now it's come back to bite him. Nothing like this could have happened to Bob Dole, for example, because Dole was humble about his own part and respectful of others. We all make mistakes though.
He can read about it on the Democratic Underground.
Could this be the media's general desire for blood getting in the way with their love affair with Kerry?
