I've been reading everything I can on Islam. I honestly didn't know much about it before the fall of 2001.
My problem is, I can't tell what is fact, opinion, deliberate propaganda, or a media campaign.
AND Islam likes it that way, hence Al Taqqya (the art of confusion for war).
One of the latest articles pulled from Osama Bin Laden's computers is here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1192738/posts
From their own computers, one of the points of 9/11 was to try to unite the Muslims in the cause. So if they didn't all believe, 'go blow yourself up for Allah', then they would need to be united, no?
Another point from the files was this:
--
"Conducting a media campaign to fight the enemy's publicity. The campaign should focus on the following important points:
Attempt to cause a rift between the American people and their government, by demonstrating the following to the Americans:
That the US Government will lead them into further losses of money and lives. " Yada yada...
--
So if part of the war plans was propaganda and media campaign, it would be to the terrorists benefits to have the world turn their backs on 'moderate muslims'. That helps the terrorists further with their cause. Cuts off the allies.
I am just very confused about what is propaganda, moderate, extremist, etc. And Islam and Arabs like to keep it that way, confusing.
I seize every opportunity I can to pick anyone's brain on this.
Thanks for all the input AII
