O'Neill Asked Michael Dobbs (Washinton Post) Yesterday to Interview Vets
Hannity & Colmes

Posted on 08/19/2004 6:20:42 PM PDT by what's up

According to O'Neill, Dobbs was asked yesterday to interview the vets while they were gathered at the Washinton Marriott.

He did not do it, even though a hit piece on them would come out on them the next day.

Well, If you don't know of the contrasting arguments, they don't have to be included in the story.

It is amazing that the comPost's only interest in the story is trashing those making the charge.

But a few months ago when Terry McAwful told them to start investigating Bush's NG records, they were on it like Mike Moore on a tub of lard.

The ComPOST is a piece of crap.

You have to love the trechery of the lamestream media. So much for an objective story. Thankfully, the internet is slowly but surely making newspapers a thing of the past. Hopefully, these Clymers won't have jobs in 10 years or so.

Salon.com better have a lot of open positions, because these jokers are going to need them.

The Post's Ombudsman, Michael Getler, is the readers' representative within the newspaper. E-mail him at ombudsman@washpost.com or call 202-334-7582.

Don't overlook the fact that the Kerry defender who was scheduled to show up to oppose O'Neill CANCELLED their appearance tonight!

Must be that word got back to Rat Central that they weren't doing so good in this area!

Spineless!

They don't want the truth. Then they'd have to report it.

There's an old newspaper adage: "This story's too good to check."

"Don't overlook the fact that the Kerry defender who was scheduled to show up to oppose O'Neill CANCELLED their appearance tonight!"

Loser Colmes very quietly stated that "although the Kerry campaign had been scheduled to be on this show tonight, they have decided not to appear...." or something to that nature.

Kerry's War Record
Michael Dobbs
Washington Post Staff Writer
Monday, August 23, 2004; Noon ET

Members of Swift Boat Veterans for Truth have challenged several aspects of John F. Kerry's military record in addition to his account of the March 13, 1969, mission on which he was awarded the Bronze Star; Kerry's campaign has vigorously defended his record. An investigation by The Washington Post into Kerry's Vietnam service and what happened on March 13, 1969 suggests that neither side has been entirely forthcoming, and that each has withheld information from the public record.

Swift Boat Accounts Incomplete and Flawed, (Post, Aug. 21)

Washington Post staff writer Michael Dobbs will be online Monday, Aug. 23, at Noon ET to discuss the conflicting accounts and The Post's investigation, based on more than two dozen interviews with former crewmates and officers who served with Kerry, as well as research in the Naval Historical Center.

Submit your questions and comments before or during today's discussion.

Programming Note: John E. O'Neill, co-author of "Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry," will take questions and comments on Thursday, Aug. 26 at Noon ET.
