I thought this was timely while the leadership is reportedly "retuning" the party's platform to better reflect the President's views.

The very fact that we are asked by this manifesto to accept porous borders is no solution whatsoever

The "thank you sir may I have another" solution.

"Many Arizonans are angry, and understandably so. They want to send a message to Washington that the status quo cannot continue."

Washington won't listen. Washington has made up its collective mind to destroy the United States through unrestricted illegal immigration. These traitors to America are in power, and we who disagree with them can go pound sand.

The common thread with all the mainstream illegal mexican immigration stories is that they portray the illegal aliens themselves and their enablers as having some sort of legitimate gripe. They do not. They have no say in the matter whatsoever. Non-citizens do not dictate immigration policy or any other policy for that matter. Go back to Juarez Ciudad and wait in line like everyone else. Their citizen enablers should be busted on racketeering charges and conspiracy to commit the felony of illegal entry into the United States. The ACLU and La Raza for starters.

What was once a border problem has now spread all across the country.

At the moment people can escape the illegal problem by moving to another community or state. When that no longer becomes an option we as a nation are in big big trouble.

Who would labor in the fields to get our crops out of the ground?

Well, if need be, prisoners (with a good behavior/hard work incentive) come to mind.

Mac Donald claims, "Hispanic youths, whether recent arrivals or birthright American citizens, are developing an underclass culture. Hispanic school dropout rates and teen birthrates are now the highest in the nation. Gang crime is exploding nationally - rising 50 percent from 1999 to 2002 - driven by the march of Hispanic immigration east and north across the country.

Mexico has a terrible gang problem and it's violence is out of control --- they try to make it seem as if the poor misunderstood hispanics were fine people until they immigrated to the USA --- what we're experiencing is the immigration of a very violent underclass from a foreign country. Mexico is exporting it's criminal class and it's poverty class.

Most worrisome, underclass indicators like crime and single parenthood do not improve over successive generations of Hispanics - they worsen."

Single teenage pregnancy is rampant in Mexico --- you can go to any town or city and see hopeless young mothers and their infants begging in the streets for handouts. You can see the street children abandoned by their parents by age 7 or 8 to fend for themselves --- by the time a child is 7 or 8, mom's got 5 or 6 more mouths to feed.

They have children early when they can't afford them, when they're living in cardboard boxes, machismo means they sire babies to prove their manhood. Once welfare programs are easily available --- all that free money and things, there is no incentive to change or do better.

As long as America remains a candy store for illegal aliens to rob, they will continue to invade us.

If the freebies were suddenly stopped, and if those who employed illegals were fined, most illegals would go home because they couldn't afford to live here. If, if, if...

Instead of letting free markets prevail in the United States and allowing our economy to adjust to a halt in immigration, these so-called conservatives want the U. S. economy to rely on a continual influx of poor workers who will remain poor and unassimilated over their life time. They write, "Conservatives, both in the White House and Congress, have a better answer. Arizona Reps. Jeff Flake and Jim Kolbe and Sen. John McCain led the way last summer with a groundbreaking legislative proposal...The centerpiece...(is) a guest worker program combined with a transitional provision for those already here and working..."

Some Freepers argue against the "better answer" all the time. A few Freepers scream at the first Freepers, "Government interference! Socialists! Racists! Xenophobes!"

Some government interference is better than other government interference. Here the "better answer," good government interference is for government employees to ignore enforcing the immigration, ID fraud, and other laws and make ILLEGALS feeeeeeeeel safe; make them feeeeeeeeeeeeel even safer with amnesty and question the motives of any who disagree with good government interference. To wit, "Go to Hell, Nation of laws. Hello, Nation of men."

I thought this was timely while the leadership is reportedly "retuning" the party's platform to better reflect the President's views.

Typical of modern day Republican politics. The comment is actually backwards. It is Bush who needs to get in step with the party's platform. In Texas when it's platform didn't suit him he just chose to ignore the parts he didn't like.

Finally--somebody has the guts to tell the truth. Watch Heather MacDonald get smeared as a racist.

Actually, I believe that the accusation of 'racism' is going to mean less and less as more and more Americans are faced with these difficult issues. The more denials there are of the problems caused by massive immigration (legal or illegal), the more people are going to realize that those who screech 'racism' are shoving 'Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?' down their throats.

As for my neighborhood--71 units of low-income Latino housing being built down the street, 178 more planned in the near future, 140 already existing, and a resulting exodus of long-term and short-term residents beginning. Too much graffiti and crime showing their ugly heads.
