No, Jane, you ignorant piece of work. It was Laci's misfortune Scott told Amber this to begin with.
Scott told Amber is wife was missing (lost) BEFORE he started his affair. NOT at the same time. He had to make it happen. But he never dreamed her disappearance would generate such enormous publicity.
After all, in the Soprano's, people just "disappear" and life goes on. No questions asked.

All I remember is that she said the delay is not the prosecution's fault this time, it's the defense's fault.
They want to use hearsay evidence. But they can't find one of the many hearsay exceptions to justify it. Tough.
Oh, yeah, that's right! Somehow she's gotten wind of this Jan. 23 conversation, where Scott LIES to Amber and says he's taken a polygraph. After all his protestations of, "I'll never lie to you again." Hee hee. It's a good thing the police were probably telling her at the same time, "No, he never would take one."
