Ironic Negative Review of "Unfit for Command" on Amazon -- Kerry's Vietnam Service Doesn't Matter

Kalyan Sannedhi "KAL" (Birmingham, AL) - See all my reviews

These are bunch of exaggerated and false accusations against John Kerry. For example, he attended a meeting in Washington DC where plans were made to assassinate prominent US senators...this is true...but what happened in the meeting? Every news article written about the meeting says that he was the one to stop the ferocious veterans against doing such things. Rest of the stories in this book are just like this, accusing John Kerry for things done by others, slandering John Kerry for merely being in a meeting or a location.

As a side note, when John Kerry served in Vietnam he was under 25. How can you judge a sixty year old guy based on the actions and personality when he was 25???

Yep! I learned that whole acceptance speech was for nothing in Boston. Guess "KAL" didn't get the latest blast fax from the DNC. Senator Kerry is basing his run for the Presidency what he did before he was 25 not what he has done in his later years. You know, that whole Vietnam thing is pretty important to old John Kerry, you might have heard him mention it, once or twice.

The Democrats and the media judged Bush on a ticket that he received when he was in his twenties. Only Republicans are judged on their past.

I was in Viet Nam for 14 months.

I guess I am 3 and a half times more qualified to be the Commander in Chief than than Hero Boy who only served 4.

But you know, I think the best thing to do is just give it to the guy who sticks it out for the long haul.

I think Vets understand this.

IMHO, President Bush will get the overwhelming support of all Vets.

W is a stay the course kinda guy.

Hero Boy is a bug out.

" Was this review helpful to you? "

Yes.
It's a glaring example of the atrocious writing and comprehension skills of today's public school students.

I think my age gets in my way of typing, 81 years of age is getting on in years, this is my second try.
Now to the point, I have read and heard that the meeting where it was discussed to assinate Senators,
Kerry has said he wasn't there and if he were he doen't remember it.
I don't think I would acknowledge it either. If I am correct it should have been reported to the authorities.
If he were still in the servicve, subject to recall or call up, I believe it would be "treason" if he didn't alert the authorities.
I don't believe he was the person that 'stopped' it if he said he couldn't remember being there.
What do you think

"I was in Viet Nam for 14 months."

"I guess I am 3 and a half times more qualified to be the Commander in Chief than than Hero Boy who only served 4."

How about Bob Kerrey - he got a bronze star: "In a citation that accompanied the Bronze Star, Kerrey is lauded for his unit's "heroic achievement" in killing 21 Viet Cong, burning two hooches, or peasant huts, and capturing two enemy weapons. Kerrey never mentioned the medal in his official bio. As he acknowledged last week, there was nothing heroic about what really happened.

(You see the 21 dead were all women and children.)

Of course he got the Medal of Honor later...and his leg is still in Vietnam.

So why couldn't this highly decorated Vietnam Vet get the Dim nomination when he asked for it? Oh that's right he was running against the draft dodger.

I was basically agreeing with you, sorry you couldn't understand what I meant.

Bob Kerrey, spent more time in Vietnam than Kerry, he was more highly decorated than Kerry and he lost his leg in Vietnam (my snip about it still being there was sarcasm).

Bob Kerrey (former Democratic Senator from Nebraska, 9/11 Commission Member) tried to get the Democratic Nomination in 1992 but some guy named Clinton got it.

Point being military service wasn't trading at as high a premium as it is now during 1992.

Now as to your sarcasm about my understanding what I was saying, two answers: yes and stuff it.

I sincerely apologise to you if you feel that I have offended you.

Perhaps I was too abrupt.

Let me try it this way, if that is ok with you.

I do not like Kerry, I do not like Kerrey, I do not like Harkin, I do not like Cleland, I do not like Clarke, I do not like any wimp ass former military punk who sells our country short. FRegards

"I sincerely apologise to you if you feel that I have offended you."

It's apologize...but no harm done. I didn't feel offended, I was insulted. If I asked you if you knew what you were talking about that would be an insult.

All is forgiven...I just give as well as I take.

Otherwise I feel the same as you do about all those guys you mentioned.

Nicely stated.

Now I know I need sleep.

Again, no offense, perhaps I will get my key board fixed so my z works.

In any event, let us just work hard to get President Bush a second term.

Damn, my hyphen doesnt work either.

Take care.

My dog Chopper barks and leaves the the room when he sees Kerry on Tv.

Chopper is a Great Dane, and prefers Bush and Pirates baseball games.

He likes Fox News and the Food Network.

Chopper is a smart dog, and he nose it.

Kerry's behavior immediately after Viet Nam is very important. His lying testimony before congressional committees, his possible involvement in a conspiracy to
murder conservative senators, his appearances with Hanoi
Jane, etc.
