Typical liberal vanity and pet peeve of mine. Does everyone see it?
Democrats think that if you are the President you "run" the country. If you're the mayor you "run" the city. If you're the Governor you "run" the whole state.
Such conceited crap.
If you are President you "run" the Federal Government. That's all. It's a big organization, and an important job, but you aren't "running the country" (or, in Mrs. Kerry's case "the world.")
But the quote sure provides some insight into the ambitions of people like the Clintons and the Kerrys. They think that if they are elected they will run the country (and eventually the world). That's why they are so hungry for power, and why they are so annoyed by GOP Presidents. It's because they think the government has or should have the same amount of power over every aspect of national life as the politburo did in the USSR.
If you ever hear a politician talk about "running" the city, state or country - do everything you can to defeat him/her because they don't just want to lead/manage a government, they want to control YOU!
You are so absolutely right! We heard a lot of this "run the country" crap during impeachment. It's great when these hosers let down their guard like this and expose how they really think (like when Hitlery Rotten Klintoon said she wanted things taken away from people for the common good). It's just too bad Boobus America doesn't pay any attention to it.
