What A Long Week (For Gun Grabbers)

SEATTLE - I was only gone a week.

It seemed like such a brief time, until I started catching up on things.

There was Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels thinking he could starve the homeless into submission by outlawing an evening feeding program.

Someone must've explained what a dumbass he looked like because the mayor suddenly changed his mind.

Meanwhile, tent city packed up and moved from Bothell to Woodinville.

Some Greg Nickels wannabes went to court to try and block that move, claiming the city made a "rash" decision to allow the encampment on public land.

They lost the legal fight, leaving them to go cry on the shoulders of Bothell residents.

Then there are the gun freaks who have their cylinders spinning.

A woman whose husband killed their grandson before then killing himself has suggested a 5-day waiting period for handgun purchases should be extended to include those guns purchased from private sellers.

Of course 2nd Amendment freaks think that's unconstitutional.

But then those kind of people think .38 caliber pistols make great baby shower gifts.

I think changing the law should be a no-brainer, which - given our legislature and the NRA - means that's not likely.

All in all, the week was a lot longer than I first thought.

My Wife's Uncle gave us a large gift certificate when we got married.

He suggested that an automatic shotgun would be an appropriate use of it. Of course my Bride to be insisted on using it for such frivolous things as household items.

She did let me buy a few trinkets.

This is the most stupid screed I have seen written. The author comes right out and says that anyone who supports the 2nd amendment is a "freak". The term freak intimates mental instability, therefore supports of our constitution are "crazy". Not only is it a play right out of the communist propaganda play-book, it clearly shows that the author is against the constitution. If the author is against the constitution doesn't that in effect make him in favor of overthrowing our government? (no doubt for some communist utopia where the only people that have guns are those in power)There used to be laws against sedition. In times past the author could have been thrown in jail and his property seized. Fortunately reasonable people prevailed and the sedition laws were struck down as being unconstitutional. Despite my opinion concerning the content of this article I have no desire to ban free speech. I guess that makes me a first amendment freak as well as a second amendment freak.

.40 S&W, .90-inch wide, 5.35-inches long, four-inches tall, 15 ounces, made in the USA, 5 round flush mag + a 6 rounder (pinkie rest).

The PM 9 specs are about the same, except it's 9mm and has 6 and 7 round mags.

The PM40 is a fine gun, but it is not a pocket pistol like the Rohrbaugh.

The only .380 I've ever shot is my (West German) Walther PPK, and yep, it has feed problems galore. But it's a collector gun now, so I don't care.

I've heard mixed reviews on Kel-Tec .380 reliability.

That Rohrbaugh 9mm posted above is something that looks like it's worth investigating.

Sweet! I too am curious as to how they shoot. Range report?

I've shot the heavier (22 oz) stainless steel MK 9 Kahr a lot, and can actually hit things with it. Amazing! Very reliable and lots of fun. The smooth long pull trigger works well for me. Fits in pants pocket nicely. You must have small pockets ;)

I think that the $900 price is understandable for a gun made to custom precision levels, with a lot of R&D to break the rules and still be safe. One can get a good carry gun for 1/4 that price, but if you want to have a pocket gun always on hand when you don't have a real gun, then the ability of have a 9mm could be worth any price.

No range report just yet, but those who have reported like them, with the caveat that the version without sights is intended for point-shooting at relatively close range.

$900 isn't too bad if the quality is as high as you suggest. ....You gotta pay $900 for a mid-line 1911 these days. I've never owned a true pocket gun in a good caliber, but this could be the first.

While I've only put about 200 rounds through my Sig P232 it has been 100% reliable.
