Thank you Admin Moderator for banning Ted Rall's billious garbage from this forum. This low life isn't worth the electrical cost of a Zot. Cudos :).
I am banned from amny forums for being an outspoken conservative. I wish him well.
I give the column a 1, then I scan it.
Then I go read Ann Coulter. :->
Glad his stuff is not welcomed here. Some liberal news we need to know about and be ready to react to their crap. But his crap is just that and should stay off our lawn so we don't step in it.
Behind my work with Project 21 on his racist screed regarding Dr. Rice, let me add my formal thank you as well.
Rall's work has been banned from FR for years. The moderators probably thought this policy was common knowledge.
There are also lots of "deep cover" trolls who post crap pretending to be criticizing it.
(I wonder how many Freepers know that there actually was such a thing and what it was used for?)
I used to haul punch cards for my dad when he rented cpu time on weekends. That was early 70's, and the computer did less than my hp calculator.
Do the little punch-outs i used to throw in the river qualify?
Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner!
Back in the 70s when I took Computer Science, which consisted mainly of Fortran IV for Scientists and Engineers, we entered our programs on Hollerith cards that we keyed on IBM keypunch machines. The 'bits' that were punched out, (later known as chads), ended up in a removable metal box, known as the Bit Bucket!
No, it did not. And when I sent a two-word FReepMail ("OK. Why?") I got no response. Then this thread popped up.
Yeah you're wrong about this. An article like a Rall article doesn't divide freepers, it brings freepers together in disgust, and we need to spread articles like Rall's far and wide to show the non-political people just what run of the mill Democrats are thinking about the country.
Bad move banning his columns.
Sounds like some sort of farm implement.....
Fortran? what's that? ;)
Glitch, then. Passing along to John Robinson, who may or may not be aware of it.
As for freepmail to mods, that can take a while for response. No discourtesy was intended: it's just the way our system is set up. Best way to bring something to mods' attention is by abuse report, even when no abuse is involved. We see that right away, and can usually respond fast. If it concerns a thread that's been pulled, submit an AR on any other thread, indicating (with URL if possible) the item in question.
Amen, brother. I've been here for almost six and a half years. I can understand if they thought the motivation was to dampen the spirits of Freepers, as the hit-and-run trolls attempt all the time, but I thought at the least, this could alert GOP delegates about some of the things that Rall claims will happen in New York. For example, bring your own map -- don't trust anything handed to you in the street.
I disagree.
Racist pond scum like Rall need no additional audience. I'd rather he speak to the three people in the closet with him and leave the rest of us alone.
For(mula)Tran(slation) IV the computer language of the future!
Pay no attention to that upstart BASIC.
Fortran? what's that? ;)

Boy that Bill Gates was a bastard! A true computer geek lives and dies by his flow chart!
I'd rather he speak to the three people in the closet with him and leave the rest of us alone
*** So that's where Sam Francis has been!
Mark Morford at least has an entertaining writing style and is often funny, in a (literally!) perverse way.
Ted Rall is pure vile and spite. I have never seen more un-funny cartoons. I wouldn't ban him, since I personally wouldn't ban anyone, but to me treating them differently make sense.
D
I agree. There are plenty of sites this material can be found on. Why let his word get spread by our dollars?
With Hannity giving free airtime to every radical inane claim the democrats make, plus us posting all of it on here, they do not need a network - they have us.
