If the Swiftvets are to be believed, Rassman was knocked overboard by a frantic Kerry only to be "saved" by him later. Rassman may not have been able to see a thing, so I give him the benefit that he had no idea what happened.
I do think it's funny that an allegation is that one purple heart is because Kerry misfired and hit a bag of rice which pelted him in his southern quarters.
Hot off the presses and now available is A CHILD'S EYE VIEW OF JOHN KERRY by Dougie. dougiesbooks@verizon.net or FReepmail. This illustrated book will have you laughing off your you know what. To quote the innocent and impressionable Dougie about the rice incident:
John Kerry said about 3500 times that he fought in Vietnam and he was a big hero.
I guess he was there for four months and left early or something and some rice flew and hit him in the butt.
Agree.
Rassman spent the critical part of the incident underwater, he was not really in position to see enemy "fire."
He was special forces, and spent exactly one day with John Effing Kerry ... I give Jim a pass, but take what the Swift Vets hav to say very, very seriously.
