Established by the National Rifle Association, NRAsafe.com is a comprehensive database of information on personal preparedness, emergency planning and safety that you won't find anywhere else. The NRA realized that Americans needed a place to find information, products, resources and solutions that take vigilance beyond the rhetoric. By bringing together its vast resources, the best minds, and the most trusted experts, NRAsafe.com is a service the NRA is uniquely able to provide to everyone, whether NRA member or not.

NRAsafe.com was designed to help Americans prepare for the escalating number of threats surrounding them, with information that is responsible, reliable, and relevant. With years of education and experience in their respective fields, its team of correspondents and contributors share their knowledge with a balanced perspective that is neither alarmist nor opportunistic.

The mission is to educate, equip, and empower a more vigilant America.

I also noticed that the NRA even has workshops where they teach 'grass roots activism'. We should be trying like hell to hold onto our 2nd amendment rights. Considering in 1961 the US State Department published a plan to turn over our weapons to the UN. State Department Document 7277 calls for a three-stage disarmament, at the end of which, we will end up with 'internal security forces' and no military.

I got a letter a few days ago about a new website called nranews.com. They were showing a live talk show a few hours ago, talking about a bear that had tried to get into some guy's house. He called the police, and when they came, the bear left. As soon as the police left, the bear came back and started trying to get in the front door again. The homeowner was armed, so I guess that was the point of the story. There's a way to send live comments to the show host using a chat room type interface, and he reads some of them. One guy said something about the right to keep and arm bears.

That will trigger the next American Civil War, for damn sure...that is, if something else doesn't set it off in the mean time. Scary times ahead, I'm afraid.

Don't these guys realize that ARMS are necessary to the security of a free state? Where's the GUNS?

Where's the GUNS?

I think the NRA is hoping the website will attract non-gun owners and introduce them to the NRA.

The website doesn't seem directed at the hardcore "survivalist", but those folks aren't the target audience.
