Look...why should this shock anyone? Non-observant American Jews tend not to care about Israel. Just like the the non-observant Christians and secular europe. Our "Christian" nation is increasingly becoming another europe...Secular! In other words, if Kerry comes to power, we will turn against Israel, just like europe has. Observant Jews and "observant" Christians care very much about Israel. History is one endless example of a "straying majority" with a believing remnant.
It shocks the multitude of morons, including many on this site, who think Jews vote only based on Israel. How else do you justify the age old dual loyalty canard.
