Hi everyone...Just returned home from a 10 day Michigan visiting family roadtrip....New pup Rusty "left his mark" a bunch of places (mainly plowing through screen doors...Giz will give you an update next week LOL!)
Ummm...worst date....a guy in highschool asked me out weekly for atleast 6 mos. Called every other day. I was not big on dating, didn't have a boyfriend or anything....and definately wasn't interested in him.
My mother, (a school counselor) felt for the guy and FINALLY guilt tripped me into going out with him "just for his ego". (she knew his family and that he was a good guy) Well...(I'm like a highschool junior and certain rules in my house...first one is "Drive In's" are off limits. (Remember those 50 year old plus freepers???? Mom promised to ground me for life if I went to one with a date!)
So this guy picks me up...mom and dad talk to him...mom asks where he is taking me and he say...."the drive-in"....She's like....oh okay...that's nice. She just said..."have a good time" So...we do that...he's a perfect gentleman BUT A NERD....then we drive around and he wants to show me the new library in our area. We drive there....it's dark and he proceeds to get his car stuck in the mud of the construction site of the parking lot. The car is stuck in mud...we walk to the library there that is closed BUT a cleaning lady finally let us use the phone (this was 35 years ago...pre cell). He calls his father to say we are stranded. The father says...that's your problem. I then called my folks and they picked me up and took my "date" home. That was our first and last date. A year and a half later he wrote in our Senior Yearbook "I'm Sorry I Screwed Up Our Date" I look back and I bet this guy is running a major corporation. (and to this day my brother and sister in law think that we did the driving and back yard library thing to "neck"... Heck we never kissed goodnight!
