Sorry to be late arriving. Very cute post, Billie. Louie, I bet your worst date tale won't be topped today! LOL.

It's been fun reading all of your stories. Sweetliberty, we've been missing you around here, nice to have you back with us!

I had to run some errands this morning so it gave me a chance to mull over which "worst date" to tell about (yes, there were more than one, LOL). I finally settled on this one....I guess it also qualifies as my most embarrassing date.

C'mon, fuzzbo, give us the scoop.

Okay, wolfie, if you insist. Here goes.....(but it's nothing compared to some of the other stories I've read, including yours!)

It took place in Santa Barbara. I had just turned eighteen, I think, and doing my best to impress this really nice guy I had been seeing for awhile, hoping that he would find me nice and sweet and intelligent and feminine and graceful - all the things I liked to think I was. It was our third date, I think, when we went to a restaurant called the Jolly Tiger....it's where all the "kids" hung out in the evenings. Unbeknownst to me, as we ate and chatted and both did our best to impress the other, my leg was falling asleep. When dinner came to an end and it was time to leave I 'oh so gracefully' slid out of the booth and took one step .......... and fell like a rock onto the floor! My date helped me pick me up and gently deposited me back in the booth. After I managed to get myself re-composed and my leg started to wake up, we both got to laughing so hard we were distracting the other diners (as if falling in the middle isle hadn't been enough of a distraction! LOL!).

It certainly helped break the ice, no sense in trying to keep up any kind of pretense after that little episode! And I guess, in spite of everything, I must have impressed him. JK's been picking up this klutzie bear every time she's stumbled for the past 37 years. ;-)

Have a great day, everyone. I need to get busy on my post for tomorrow. HUGS!

A Happily Ever After story if I ever heard one. :) Thanks, Mama and Papa Bear - I love a happy ending.
