More scrutiny will need to be given any of John Kerry's Senate related actions.
Several months ago, an ad was running locally. In it, JKerry touted his Vietnam service, being a 'successful' prosecutor, and 19 years in the Senate.
The ad went on to tout Kerry casting the deciding vote that got Clinton's 'Jobs Bill' Economic Package (1993) passed.
The Jobs Bill WAS held up by one Senator. That Senator wanted some perks. Finally, after getting what he wanted, he cast his vote and the Jobs Bill passed.
Except---it wasn't John Kerry who held up the Bill and cast the deciding vote. It was Bob KerrEy.
The Kerry campaign were challenged about this, as it was also on their website. It supposedly was taken down from their website, but the ad touting Kerry (rather than KerrEy) as casting the deciding vote continued to run several weeks afterward.
Kerry's Senate career is SO WEAK that he has to claim Bob KerrEy's Senate accomplishments as his own.

(After 20 years in the Senate, all Kerry has to run on is 4 months of service in Viet Nam.)

Except---it wasn't John Kerry who held up the Bill and cast the deciding vote. It was Bob KerrEy. I remember that well. Bob Kerrey opposed the Tax increases and other provisions of the bill. Clinton called him to the White House and had a private meeting with him. What was said is unknown, but Kerrey was never the same after that. He seemed to lose his independence, and became more or less a Clinton lap dog and apologist.
I wonder if maybe Shrillery had some records of Kerrey's Vietnam "atrocities" that came to light in about 2001, and threatened Kerrey with their "leaking".
