Nearly 140 years after the Civil War, another group of Americans wants to secede from the union.
Christian Exodus, a California-based group, wants God to be its commander in chief. Decrying what it perceives as the unjust secularization of the United States, it wants a sovereign state of its own.

Do that pinger thing you do so well :)
"I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people--not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. " I Cor. 5:9-11
Sheesh! Doesn't this crap ever go away? The Hispanics want the state of Aztlan in California, the black separatists want a state in the Northwest, and now the wannabe slave owners want to go back to their perception of the glory days with a theocratic utopia....without a bill of rights, of course.
Oh gee whiz
I thought the Great Commission charged Christians to go and preach the Gospel to all the world. This group seems bent on the exact opposite - segregating itself from the world.
Sorry, but this ranks right up there with looney ideas like forming a hispanic nation called "Aztlan" in the western US, or turning America into the Islamic caliphate...
Morning, sw!
Seen this yet?

S.C. still has the right to secede. But a subgroup needs to go find their own island and start their own country.
This is a bad idea for white Christians.
If they were black/hispanic/Muslim, the government would fall all over themselves recognizing the sovereignty of the new state and giving them special rights.
But since they are white Christians, they will end up crispy-fried Waco-style.
"Christian Exodus, a California-based group, wants God to be its commander in chief."
They may want to consider the 'Jim Jones' plan of separating themselves from society.
"and now the wannabe slave owners want to go back to their perception of the glory days"
Was that really called for? I didn't read anything in the article regarding that. I see no reason to demonize good people because they have bad ideas.
Jonestown.
Heaven's Gate.
Waco.
These folks.
Anyone see a pattern?
I thought the White Separatists staked that ground out as their own.

Perhaps you haven't been following some of the threads and their web site. But you are right. I would not demonize good people for bad ideas.
CW II is close enough, thanks.
