The death rate from having ANY abortion, is ONE MILLION dead babies. (any human with brains)

I just got back and saw your post. It said it much better than I did. Thanks.

Nonesuch, you did not mention the women who die in abortions or the very high numbers who experience severe complication, some are lifelong and physically painful. Most suffer emotional pain for decades. There is a lot about abortion that you may not know about. Here is only one point:

See the picture above? That is one of three former abortion rooms at the NATIONAL AMERICAN HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL in Baton Rouge, LA. It was open from 1986 – 1994. 30,000 children were aborted there. This was not the only abortion mill in the city. The “doctor” had this building built special to maximize his time and PROFITS.

Notice the kitchen sink with the garbage disposal. There were three ways for the “doctor” to dispose of the babies, an expensive biomedical incinerator, expensive biomedical waste pick-up (charge by pound) or a rather inexpensive garbage disposal. Every day God’s precious children were ground up in that disposal and flushed into the city’s sewer system. Thing is this doctor of death did late term abortions, so an assisting demon had to literally cut up the bigger kids to feed down the disposal.

I have given tours of the place a few times. It is like walking in a nightmare. The suction machine in one room is still plugged in and it works when you turn it on for the visitors to see and hear. This place is much like an abandoned Nazi death camp. It’s the only Memorial like it in the country. It’s a testament to America’s (and humanity's) darkest potential.

Some time after the mill was closed down, the doctor of death aborted himself with a bullet through the head.

Yes I read it.

As I understand it some men in your case find real peace by working in the Pro-Life movement. Please consider this if you are not involved already. There is much to be done but few who help.

He had no choice but to abort himself with a bullet through the head, his evil deeds attest to his lack of a heart.

I just talked to some parents of a girl I once knew, they told me she had a baby 3 and 1/2 months early. They said he was the size of a barbie doll. Guess what, he is alive and kicking now int he loving arms of his parents. Thank God these people didn't think of the child os an inconvenience.

My wife was 3 months early, 30 years ago in Mexico. She weighed 1.1 kilos, and barely survived. I and our 2 children are forever grateful that many doctors and nurses cared enough to keep trying, and that her parents never gave up.

G-d rest Tiny Tim's soul.

May God please forgive me

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

You have already acknowledged that you have sinned. All you need to do is accept the wonderful present of Christ's blood, shed for your sins and mine and everybody's. He wants to forgive you, and when you accept that forgiveness you'll begin to forgive yourself! Believe me, I know what I'm talking about. Freep-mail me if you need to talk!

Loved one of mine just read this (she had an abortion a long time ago at age 18) and just began sobbing. I hugged her and told us we were lied to back then...abortion doesn't just get rid of a blob of tissue and these women feel this pain forever.

We are seeing the fruits of our great grandfathers today. In the later 1800's, there was a gradual but definite shift away from Christianity. People known as Spiritualists began to gain fame and influence. The rise in the occult and secularism brought us the Nazi's and Communist's. This is not a sudden or recent thing.

Still, I have a bit of hope. The bride to be and I were eating at a local fast food joint the day after Bush and Kerry blew through town. A group of teenagers was having a loud and boisterous discussion behind us. One was talking about the protesters at the Bush speech, screaming that the Iraq war was killing Iraqi children, while wearing pro choice stickers.

The young lady simply asked the protester "Doesn't abortion kill babies too?"

I don't know, maybe the west has gone to far over the cliff, but I have hope.

Nobody seems to be willing willing to acknowledge that women die from pregnancy -- who are we to force a woman to risk her life to carry her baby to term?

the average maternal death rate when a pregnancy is continued to birth is about 66 per million births. The death rate from continuing the pregnancy to birth is about 33 times higher than having an early abortion (under 9 weeks gestation). (cite)

(cite) You cite from a left-wing, secular humanist, pagan, Marxist, pro-homosexual organization, your facts are skewed and biased

I think women would do much better if the concentrate on what is really killing them: Heart disease, strokes, cancer, COPD, Diabetes, etc. and not worry about being pregnant.  Incidentally pregnancy is beneficial to women and generally those women who have NO abortions and have their first child in their twenties, have the least chance of getting breast cancer.

500,00 thousand women die of Heart Disease and Cancer EACH YEAR, that pales in comparison to the 399 maternal deaths.  I think women should be more focused on diet and weight control, exercise so they won't get such diseases as heart, lung, diabetes, hypertension, etc.

  1. Diseases of heart (heart disease)
  2. Malignant neoplasms (cancer)
  3. Cerebrovascular diseases (stroke)
  4. Chronic lower respiratory diseases
  5. Accidents (unintentional injuries)
  6. Diabetes mellitus (diabetes)
  7. Influenza and pneumonia
  8. Alzheimer’s disease
  9.  Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome and nephrosi (Kidney Disease)
  10. Septicemia
  11. Suicide
  12. Liver Disease
  13. Homicide
  14. Hypertension
  15. Pneumonia

Maternal mortality

In 2001 a total of 399 women were reported to have died of maternal causes (tables 34 and 35), up 3 deaths from the 2000 total. As in previous years, the number of maternal deaths does not include all deaths occurring to pregnant women, but only those deaths reported on the death certificate that were assigned to causes related to or aggravated by pregnancy or pregnancy management (ICD–10 codes A34, O00–O95, and O98–O99). Further, the number excludes deaths occurring more than 42 days after the termination of pregnancy and deaths of pregnant women due to external causes (unintentional injuries, homicides, and suicides) (7).

The maternal mortality rate for 2001 was 9.9 deaths per 100,000 live births. Black women have a substantially higher risk of maternal death than white women. The maternal mortality rate for black women was 24.7, 3.4 times the rate for white women (7.2 deaths per 100,000 live births).

Hispanic maternal mortality—The maternal mortality rate for His-panic women was 9.5 deaths per 100,000 live births. As with other statistics involving Hispanic origin, these should be interpreted with caution because of inconsistencies between reporting Hispanic origin on death certificates and on censuses and surveys (see ‘‘Technical Notes’’).

Cite your so-called skewed facts with a REAL WEBSITE, how about starting with the CDC, Page 98, notice in 2001 38 women DIED from an Abortion.

Second trimester abortions are rare

Second Trimesters are NOT rare and neither is partial birth abortion, get your facts straight.

Reducing the availability of abortions (by harassing, threatening, and murdering doctors and picketing, vandalizing and bombing clinics), and making abortions more difficult to obtain (through legal and extralegal means, causes the rate of late-term abortions to increase drastically -- this leads to an increase in the rate of maternal complications.

You sound like some kind of radical who is biased and misinformed making up stories and lies, ONE clinic in Alabama was bombed by the same guy who bombed the Olympics in Atlanta, He is a NUT, you make it sound like pro-lifers are doing this every day.   I pass by abortion mills every day and don't see any picketing or protesters.   Late term abortions are done every day 1,500 per yr. in one NJ mill alone.  Abortions are the easiest to obtain in history, many mills are posted with guards, women are free to come and go as they please and they do where they account for 1.2 million abortions per year.

(through legal and extralegal means, causes the rate of late-term abortions to increase drastically -- this leads to an increase in the rate of maternal complications.

Legal?  No law was passed by congress making abortion legal, the SCOTUS misinterpreted the 5th and 14th amendments to the Constitution which guarantee a right to life and equal protection under the law as do ALL 50 States.  SCOTUS used the very vague 9th amendment using "privacy" as the issue.

Personally, I find it difficult if not impossible to justify the state intruding in the reproductive decisions of adults in either contraception or in the first few weeks after conception. Specifically, it is difficult to justify without bringing religion into the decision.

You advocate the killing of babies and use the word personally!  What about teh personhood of the fetus/baby? There are 50 states and I see none which intrude in the reproductive decisions of women/adults.  Life begins at conception so the first few weeks are last few weeks make no difference, end result: Human life ceases to exist.

OTOH, I absolutely agree that as the fetus comes closer to being a viable person, the state's interest in the second life grows... Yet reading some of the posts above, I get the feeling that some FReepers would value the life of the baby above that of the mother?

The fetus does NOT come closer to a human person, it IS a human person, all human life is valuable from conception to natural death.  We become human when we are conceived.

Part of me takes deep pleasure in the Heralds' appropriation of the music to honor Our Lady on her feast day, but for me it was withal a "Marseillaise" moment.

My father has those whenever the hymn "Glorious things of Thee are spoken" sneaks its way into Mass and all he (or anyone else) hears is ,,Deutschland, Deutschland über alles..."
