BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Twenty-five heavily armed foreigners holed up inside the Imam Ali Mosque in Najaf have rigged it with explosives and are threatening to blow up the building if attacked, the Iraqi Interior Ministry said Sunday in a written statement.

It's time for lots of tear gas.
Lets fire a spitball at them and see if they are serious. If not we can blow it up for them but no sense wasting explosives if they want to do it for us.
If it is rigged with explosives, let's just bomb it from 20000 ft and claim the jokers blew themselves up.
Lets see if I have this right, Sadr and his troops have been hiding in that mosque, now 25 foreigners just moved in wired the place to blow up and Sadr and his boys did nothing to stop them. Now they threaten to blow the place up if anyone is attacked there. This means Sadr can blame foreigners for blowing up the mosque he is hiding in thereby relieving he and his troops from committing a holy sin in blowing the joint up. This is almost funny.
Attack the joint and let them blow it, then we can say the foreigners did it. If Sadr can play that game we can too.
Let's chase a pack of blood thirsty hogs into the shrine and see how they like that...
And if they blow up the shrine... Well, instant bar-b-q pork.
I think that we should herd them into the Mosque, then fill it with liquid nitrogen and FREEZE it. Then let it thaw out and we can carry out the bodies.

Muslim-Islamic tactics work with those who can be intimidated. Looks like the Iraqi "Government" is one of those who will be intimidated.

In the interest of clarifying the intent of the "foreigners" an immediate attack should be ordered.
Surround it. Cut off the electricity, phone, food,and water. Anyone who slowly walks out backwards with his hands in the air survives. Any other means of egress gets his head shot off!!!
