The guy who put out this press release, Andy Martin, is a nutjob who is running for senator in Florida as a Republican. If you believe this press release, will also believe his claim when he ran for president (that's right, for president) in 2000 that George W. I also find it rather unbelievable that you did not find this previously published on FR, since it has the exact same title as the piece that was posted just a few days ago. It is obvious from reading the replies that there are some Freepers naive enough to fall for this crapola. Thankfully there are others who recognize that this campaign can only be one by pointing out the differences in the policies the two candidates promote and why the policies promoted by Obama are not those that the people of Illinois should approve.

Penny for your thoughts. This popped up when I checked my Yahoo mail and I didn't recall seeing it on FR. I *did* do a search, but it did not come up. Perhaps I misspelled a word? At any rate, it is a valid questions, as I had not heard about his Muslim background before. If the DNC is trying to keep it quiet, then it should be open for discussion. I am quite confident that Keyes will handle himself and the issues with or without this. As for Martin, I don't know a thing about him. Why not post some stories about him so we can make our own judgement on his sanity?

Go here and you will learn all you need to know about Andy Martin, mostly using his own press releases. Keyes and the GOP should stay far away from this guy, because any mainstream media that pick up his rantings will certainly include his background.

Obama moved around as a kid, living in Indonesia and Hawaii. As far as I know, he has never tried to hide this. In fact, he wrote a book about it.

Just take a minute to go to the Trinity Church website and then see if looking into Obama's past still seems unfair to you........I do NOT believe this man. And since his step-father, and grandfather were involved in a RADICAL ISLAM group (African-arab), it is CRITICAL that we hear this man DENOUNCE his MUSLIM ROOTS.

He may sit in our senate one day and be privy to immensely deep intelligence. This matters.

There is no need to look into Obama's past. He has never hidden it.

His grandfather was Muslim. So what? Politician's ancestors have been much worse things. Arnold Schwarzenheger's dad was a Nazi. Joseph Kennedy was a rum runner.

(Oh-and you won't find anything on this church website about fighting out against the horrendous slavery in Sudan or the killing of Christains there)

Go for it nyc, and contemplate someone who MIGHT be MUSLIM in the worst sense, might not be-I know-but it would be NICE to hear it from OBAMA considering his grandfather and step-father's past, considering Obama's arabic name, and considering how our pasts influence EACH OF US, Obama is no exception.
