I have the sinking feeling that my cat is a libertarian, with anarchist tendencies. Fortunately, she's not an activist. She is also a pagan, but inclusive. She is a devotee both of Bastet and St. Francis of Assisi.
My husband and feed the birds year around so our outdoor cats have something to stalk and sometimes catch. We refer to them as welfare birds. They have no idea how to take care of themselves and are more dependant upon us than our cats are. Our dogs are loyal, to a fault. Since we have an equal number of dogs and cats and will both vote for Bush, I have no particular position on the subject except that although I may love my dogs more, I can live without a dog but always have to have a cat around.
