The Guardian is Britain's premier left wing paper.
Guardian, son of Pravda, has never found an anti american story they did not like. Kerry and the rest of the dems are so anti american they are the darlings of the european communist media. But, guess what? YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID!
To: bilhosty
I think so too. Because no matter where the convention was held, they would be out in droves to protest Bush.

All I know is that Frank Rizzo-God rest his soul-kicked ass!
I realize that he was eventually driven out of the Democratic Party by the socialist hacks that run things over there, but while he was mayor of Philly he definitely exemplified what was best about the Dems.
In contrast, Mayors Goode, Rendell and the thoroughly corrupt John Street have brought nothing but shame and dishonor to the people of that great city.

And train like crazy. If you can , handload. It's cheaper(most of the time) than bulk and you can inspect/weigh rounds as you produce them. I only production ammo I buy are shotgun shells.

bwahahahahaha
I can see the sign now "drag queens for kerry"
That'll play real big in Pittsburgh, Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, etc.
And the beauty is these idiots will display all the tastelessness and juvenalia we've come to expect from the infantile self-deluded left. On display for all to see.

You're right, the media will encourage these whackos, with plenty of publicity, interviews, in general, giving them credence.
Good!!
American voters will hate these people!
People will note how these anti-Americans did NOT disrupt Kerry's convention.
Americans will resent these idiots going after our Commander In Chief while we are at war.
And New Yorkers who have their lives disrupted, endangered even, will soon turn against these demonstrators.

Perhaps delousing beforehand might be in order.

Moving the convention is a
great idea, I think that alone would cinch the election for Bush. You said the convention isn't likely to get much coverage, well moving the convention would get lots of coverage let alone win the hearts and minds of the undecided.
Preempt the protests, move the convention!

I just read this stuff and sigh. I mean, how much hatred do you have to have to put forth this kind of energy? For the most part, we left the Democrats alone to do their stupid little show.
Why is the convention there? Something about a terrorist attack I vaguely remember on NY? Trying to help the economy of the area recover wasn't it?
Maybe Republicans have learned their lesson and will only hold their conventions where it will in fact be appreciated. This is a classic example of "No good deed goes unpunished". I only hope the rest of the nation watches and has the same reaction to the raggedy protestors it had to the Wellstone "memorial" and recoils in disgust.

The basic difference is conservatives have jobs and real lives. The liberals have neither.

Is there any reason why the Republican Convention couldn't just pull up stakes and move to Houston? In this day of text messaging, cell phones, pagers, e-mail, and fax, why not just notify the delegates that NYC is off? Media coverage is going to be minimal anyway, so that's no great loss. Just write it off and take the Party somewhere else. As a delegate who has a couple grand invested in the trip, your answer is NO.

New York was chosen by the Republicans with an eye on associating the party with the terror attacks of 2001.No! NY was chosen by the Republicans shortly after 9-11 to show support and solidarity with the people of NY and show the terrorists that we won't be intimidated to not convene in our largest city or anywhere else we want to for that matter.
What's unfortunate is that NYC will be subjected to the homegrown terrorism of the left. But that's typical leftist narcissism.
