I love this post. It epitomizes for me the differences between the malignant leftists and the right.

The violent proclivities of the "peace advocates" have long been established so should surprise nobody. Their progenitors were the bomb-throwing Bolsheviks.

I was in the combat zone up by the DMZ serving on the USS Valley Forge, LPH-8 in December of 68 during the Tet offensive.
The Tet Offensive began late Jan/early Feb 1968 and ended long before December.
I was on the DMZ for 13 months (including the Tet Offensive) and don't recall any Navy ships "in the combat zone."

I heard Pat Buchanan (sp?) last night on Scarborough Country in the usual Vietnam Service debate that's going on these days, and he got quite lively on a Kerry supporter who was defending Kerry's Vietnam service.
Pat pointed out that Kerry's Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) testimony in Washington was treasonous, especially since our military personnel were still in harms way. I think that is the whole point of the issue that is currently raging. People have contributed all levels of service to their country. Kerry's service while in Vietnam is certainly in question, but there is no question about John Kerry's disservice to America since he came back to America. Kerry's testimony aided and supported our enemy, while putting our military personal at increased danger. The words that came out of Kerry's mouth were words that the communist North could not get our POW's to say even under torture according to Buchanan, and Kerry just gave it to them in his testimony. Buchanan also pointed out the Kerry met with the communists, and Kerry's picture hangs in Ho Chi Minh city to this day in a place of honor.
IMHO, George W. Bush served his country in the Air National Guard, did not throw his service ribbon(s)/medal(s) away (yes he had at least one), and did not war protest or aid and support the enemy. Even if George W. Bush had been 4-F and sat at home baking cookies to send to our service people in Vietnam, he would have done a far greater service to his country, than all the combined efforts made by John Kerry during that era. Bring it on John Kerry! Your disservice to America stinks to high heaven!
