Large numbers of people will have to go to jail for the principle of free speech. That will have a cost to the individuals involved, but a good effect in the long run. Be ready to stand on principle.

Indeed, it is no longer permissible in Canada to preach that homosexuality is a deviant life style.

Have they started killing Jews and burning Bibles yet?

Even the recently defeated Conservative Party did not propose to repeal the right of homosexuals to “marry”.

Maybe that's why they lost.

We have to put an end to all political correctness over the next four years. It's a tool designed to silence any descent against the liberal (socialist/communist) agenda.
If people are forced into silence, the left can rule through dictatorship, and no one can defend the Constitution without litigation or imprisonment.
That's why our founding fathers made the right to free speech the first. Without it, America falls.

Once government began dictating that private clubs had no right to discriminate, I knew it was a matter of time before various religions would be targeted for extinction. There are those who would love to outlaw religious marriage, force Catholics and Orthodox Jews to ordain women, and mandate pro-gay, pro-abortion spokesmen for the 700 Club. We are well down that slippery slope.

Can't have a socialist dictatorship with freedoms like this standing in the way.

You stated that very well. Philosophers of the left like to point out that the "slippery slope" is a logical fallacy. But that's a fallacious fallacy on their part, as people who have goals at the end of that slippery slope and who pursue those goals will take us down it.

That said, it's really a shame that so many of our fellow "conservatives" (so-called "paleos," libertarians--those in socially anarchist states on the west and east coasts) support and refuse to repeal the efforts of the social left (feminism, for one) while assuming that big business will take us to the fiscal right. Kerry, for one, has many corporate supporters who will pay to have their perverted ways with all. A long list of Fortune 500s supported so-called "affirmative action" in Michigan, recently. They will do the same with "same-sex marriage," sooner or later and refuse ever to repeal it.

They set their daughters and effeminate sons up as goddesses to rule over us and turn our country into a Sedom. They assume that their spawn will continue conservative fiscal policy. But they won't, because big government is absolutely necessary to support their evil social ways.

The Democrats take us toward communism, and the "libertarians" (lawyers and other "professionals" that most of them are) take us toward facism. Both forms are of socialism.

I don't believe this is true. The scouts don't have to accept homosexuals, because the scouts are a private organization. The problem starts when an organization accepts government funding of some sort. Also, the Constitution doesn't say anything against discrimination between private citizens--it only restrains the federal and state governments from discrimating for certain reasons, like race.

All in all, I agree with the author's premise that it is only a matter of time before Christians become targets of hate-crime legislation. The trick is to paint Christians as haters while making homosexuals and other deviants seem normal or even noble. Once this is accomplished, it won't seem illogical to hate Christians while attempting to stamp out hate. For example, most Nazis probably thought they were decent people. In fact, many probably justified their own evil actions by painting the Jews as evil.

"I did not agree with the policy of Bob Jones University that prohibited interracial dating. It was, however, a position rooted in Scripture."

Ping.

I think Canadian Christians should come here to a free country, and all the American homos and their demented sex fetishes should go to oppressive Canada.
There. Problem solved. Every one would be happy.(And no, we will not give financial support to Canada's new massive AIDs epidemic. Let them sell snow.)

Is it any wonder that American liberals like to point to other countries, such as Canada, when they talk about gun control, medicine, social welfare, etc? We used to be different and proud of it. Now, Kerry and his ilk think we're out of step if we don't conform.

Once the people allowed government to dictate that private clubs had no right to allow smoking, I knew it will be a matter of time before government would be the one to allow people to do anything or nothing.

So Mr. Weyrich says he believes scripture is in error?

I'm not familiar with that scripture.

That's because it doesn't exist.

That's because it doesn't exist.

It goes back to the story of the tower of Babel. God divided the people into different colors and different languages so they couldn't mix. They were misbehaving.
