Please to not take these comments personally.

I'm not a big John and Ken fan. They have been helpful at times and unhelpful at others. I guess I'm going to have to come down on this issue like this.

We shouldn't have to demand that our leaders pay strict attention to their duty when it comes to the most sacred document this nation has. We're not talking about some obscure document that was lost for a couple of centuries until it recently resurfaced.

No, this is our Constitution. It guarantees you and I certain rights. It guarantees the states freedom from being invaded. We've seen how well the protections of states are enforced. Pray tell why I should think my rights will be guaranteed any better by these yahoos?

Yes, I think John and Ken go over the top correographing this event and their 'human sacrifice' effort to maximize their effectiveness. These guys are going for the throat, and I thank God in heaven, someone finally is.

You state that Asa and Issa didn't have much chance to address issues. I will tell you that I heard some of the early comments they made, and frankly, once they revealed what their tone was, it was all over anyway.

I don't need to hear sad stories about how people who are breaking the law are going to have their lives disrupted.  That was Asa's bright idea. Who advises this guy?   Those very people disrupt my life every morning and evening on my way to work. They have flooded our freeways, trashed our neigborhoods, and sap resources that should have created whole new freeway systems and have retarded medical advancements as our health care resources collapsed from the burden they placed on it.  Our nation's children are shortchanged as we spend billions of dollars building new schools to house the illegals.  The LAUSD school district is in a perpetual mode of building new schools, and has no chance of keeping up.  Still, our kids go wanting for classroom supplies and new textbooks.

I acually care that Spanish is now replacing English as our first language in regions around where I live. Crime, education, social norms, every aspect of our lives exists in a state of flux, due to these invaders.

They are robbing U.S. Citizens, not to mention my own children from the future they should have had.

The areas where American Grafiti were filmed, the classic movie of my genation's youth, is now a close faximilie of Tijuana, Mexico.  Business, billboards, it's the same, the signs are in Spanish.  In my home in Glendale they now place billboards in Spanish.  Is anyone listening?   In case it doesn't come through, I recent this more than I can tell you. I grew up here. My heritage has been stolen. The region of the United States where I grew up does not remind me of my youth any longer. It reminds me of one trip to Mexico when I was repulsed by the squalor their society had provided for them. Now they have spread that squalor into my home region.

Asa and Issa can blather all they wish about how unfortunate our immigration laws are for the poor Mexicans. I don't hear one word about the Citizens of the United States and the lives they have had trashed by what is happening.

These two men try to act as if they are very intelligent and we are playing with two cards out of a full deck. IMO, our founding fathers dealt with the same mentality in the mid to late 18th century.

What makes these men any different than King George's men from the 18th Century? What makes them any different than Benedict Arnold, selling out our nation for their own evil purposes?

Asa and Issa deserve to be treated like they were today. They deserve it, because this issue should have been addressed fifteen years ago, as their predicessors promised. Now, fifteen years later they have the absolute unmittigated gaul to tell us we're the problem.

I have nothing but contempt for these two. We have a situation that reached crisis stage years ago. Still they play the old shell game. They think they can buffalo the masses. I have one word for them.

Treason! Yes, I'm serious. What else can you call it.

The citizens are restless folks.  John and Ken are making headway.  Asa and Issa may act like they don't think so, but they're out here holding meetings, and that's certainly a first.

This is the beginning of the end of illegal immigration.  It wouldn't surprise me if all immigration is halted for a decade or more before this is over.  They could have taken reasonable measure, now the citizens of this nation are going to demand more than would have been necessary had this been addressed properly all along.

You realize you posted this already in 121 right? I should add to my earlier post that the reason I'm not a huge fan isn't because of social issues exactly, as much as the way they sold out their good friend, and guy they knew was the best man for the job-Tom McClintock, because they wanted the easy victory. I stopped listening to them since then, but their populists efforts to actually MAKE CHANGE on this issue have gladly made me an every day listener again.

Credit must be given, Asa never would have given the border agents the new powers on OTM if they hadn't heard them ranting about the terrorists coming over the border. It is a baby step, but instead of drivers licenses being sold out-we're getting baby steps IN OUR direction. Congrats J&K. Now full speed ahead with the sacrafice!

Outstanding post. Treason is the right word.

The citizens are restless folks.

That's an understatement. I heard the audio and the attitude and anger of the people came across loud and clear. You can bet, Hutchinson couldn't wait to get the hell out of there.
