I think Joe Baca overstepped his bounds and Rialto and San Bernadino has a lot of people who aren't happy about border jumpers undercutting their wages. Ed's right on the issue, and he's going to be on their show a lot before the election. I think he just might do it.
But what will Dane rant about? He doesn't seem to want to contribute to Lanning's campaign, I guess its because he's planning on giving to Baca's if he has to.
Yeah riiiiiiight.
And next you will be saying that Barbara Boxer is a conservative.
Is the Brazilian flag used in the Bush Spanish ads? You know the hispandering ads.
They've been hammering Baca relentlessly, and have said they're going to slam him daily in the days leading up to the election. What else do you want?
I'll believe it when I see it.
Is the Brazilian flag used in the Bush Spanish ads? You know the hispandering ads.......
I haven't seen those adverts yet.
I've heard them say Baca and this is one time when both people selected will be re-elected despite them.
All gadflys are in protected districts.
Yep, & a RINO too, if you bothered to check. To me it makes no difference if they enforce *some laws* for illegals & *ALL LAWS* for citizens.
democrats like Joe Baca(D-CA).
Here in 'small town' TX, *your* Baca is not on our ticket.....however, I would vote against him, IF I could.
He wants you to stop confronting him with difficult facts and pesky contradictions and just allow him to beat the livin' stuffing out of this guy.
Because it is better to fight in THEIR neighborhood, than in ours.
Thats a cliche'
A fight on our soil can be PREVENTED by closing our borders and expelling foreign invaders already here.
"I see you are also silent on Joe Baca(D-CA)"
Yes, because I never heard of him before.
Oh I forgot to add.....................
It may be too late, the brain trust in Washington has been ignoring the problem for almost 3 years.
No. He didn't.
First you get angry. Then you get depressed that our leaders are so vacant. What the hell do we have to do to get our leaders to take the U.S. Constitution serious?
I agree. Boy it sure rubbed me the wrong way to listen to them dismiss the attendees as if they didn't know what they were talking about. From my point of view, it was Issa and Asa who didn't know ---- from shinola.
Sorry it took so long to respond.
My server's been acting up!
First of all, I'm not a troll. In fact, I was at the same barbecue
a couple weeks ago, PRofLA...
I was sketching portraits and didn't have the
pleasure of meeting you.
Someone said later you were there...
I also missed DoughtyOne.
Thanks for the great music.
Well, here's my story and I'm stickin to it...
Drove up to Temecula at 7:30 this morning
from Chula Vista.
It was raining but people didn't mind.
In fact, from the 15 there were lightning bolts
jolting all over just above Temecula.
Prophetic!
The lot was already full by 8:45, so people had to park out on the road for blocks.
About a dozen police cars were lined up, officers poised.
There were "NO SIGNS ALLOWED INSIDE" signs posted all over.
I had to get special permission to bring my sketch pad,
and did a quick sketch of the crowd while standing in line so they'd believe me.
I found a seat on the aisle, two rows back from
John and Ken.
They got a standing O from the whooping crowd.
Now, I'm only reporting on the EVENTS of this morning...
you can hash out the issues.
At the time, I did not know KFI was recording everything.
The oddest thing was that moment when John stood up
to have his say, no matter what.
Issa was NOT avoiding him.
Issa actually put his arm around him, led him up on the
stage, smiling, and John acted like Issa would not give
him the microphone. John had picked up one that was not active, so Issa gave him his.
Excuse me, but he really was being an ass.
What he was saying was different than what was happening, and it made no sense til I heard it
on the radio.
Knowing full well he'd have access to the audio later,
he YELLS to Asa, "Why are you running away?"
Asa had merely walked to the side,
not wanting to be part of the spectacle.
Asa was red meat for that crowd.
It was practically rock concert decible...my ears are still numb.
The radio show did not pick up anywhere near the truth
of how impossible it was to answer questions.
All you get on their "feed" is Issa and Asa's
stammering, but you can't hear the crowd.
I sketched John and Ken, who were both very still
(which made them easy to draw) until John's dramatic moment, egged on by the crowd.
Asa promised to return in 3 months for another feeding frenzy.
Someone yelled, "You mean AFTER the election,"
and Issa replied something like, "You got THAT right!"
It ended surprisingly peacefully.
I heard a woman thank a border patrol agent for
doing a good job, and he replied,
"If they'd only LET me do my job!"
No one seemed very satisfied.
But John and Ken got great ratings.
Did anyone videotape this event (aside from Spanish-language media)? I'd like to see microphone incident for myself.
I believe your report over ALL others.
