HOMELAND WAR SURVIVORS AGAINST "BOSNIAN SERB GRASS" AROUND CROATIAN MONUMENT
Financial Times Information | 13 August 2004

Split, 12 August: The association of the Homeland War survivors from the Makarska Primorje region says in a statement that the recently unveiled monument to a Croatian defender in Makarska has been surrounded by "the soil and grass from Banja Luka in (Bosnian) Serb Republic".

(Croatian) Minister (of the Family, Veterans' Affairs and Intergenerational Solidarity) Jadranka Kosor unveiled the monument a few days ago.

According to the statement, the association will remove "this Serb grass and soil" if the town authorities do not remove them within 48 hours. (Passage omitted)

"Why does it matter where the grass came from? We have received it as a gift from Bosnia. I do not know exactly who gave it to us, but I think that it was a Croat from Duvno or Livno. I do not understand why such problems need to be invented and such issues discussed before the public," Mayor Ante Novak said when asked by HINA (agency) about it.

He added that he would not ban the association from changing the grass.

And the UN wonders why Serbs are unwilling to move back to this hate-filled nation?

After being bombed by Serb guns, how can you blame them?

Newsflash: Grass can't bomb anyone. In fact it is quite harmless I believe.

>>>>After being bombed by Serb guns, how can you blame them?<<

Actually, "Serb" grass reminds Croats of all Serbs they murdered in 1941-95 genocide and "Serb" soil reminds Croats that good part of Croatia's land mass belonged legally to murdered Serbs.

This is clear case of tainted conscience. Croatian political scientist Stipe Suvar has calculated that without WWII genocide and 1991-95 ethnic cleansing there would be 2 million Serbs living in Croatia today instead of 400 000 still alive.

Your post is good ilustation for quip that Croats are mighty not because they are fearless but because they are shameless.

Perhaps we could keep peace during the Olympics

1. Stipe Suvar was a communist and we all know how honest communists are.

2. There were never any Serbs in Makarska, yet it was shelled from the sea.

3. We have our country, you have yours. The war is over. Focus on getting back Kosovo, not on land that was never yours.
