I agree, the 9/11 report was surprisingly direct and non-compromising. Except for completely ignoring the bin-Laden/Sudan swap, it was pretty fair to the President.
It should be required reading in public high schools as well.

Now that you have established yourself, along with Mr. Belz, as our poll tax Gestapo, what other requirements will be forthcoming?

I agree with a lot of what you have to say, however I'm having trouble understanding your conclusion that this document is an indictment against the Democratic Party and that voters who read it will vote for Bush. I find it hard to believe that a bilateral commission would publish a book that convinces the voters that they should vote for Bush. I believe the better conclusion would have been to say more people should be as informed about the politics they are voting for no matter the camp they dwell in. I have not yet purchased or therefore read the book but it is a priority for me. I agree that we must involved and to be involved requires the cost of information and the mass media does not have the time to inform the public properly. It is up to the public to get informed and sadly the public does not have the time to inform themselves so they rely on the quickest way to get their information via the TV or printed press, of which basically six corporations own and operate. This election year should prove to be very interesting. I have never seen more people talking about what they concieve to be real issues than this year. The political battleground is as intense as it ever has been in this country precisly because it is such an historical moment we face as a nation. No one should doubt the love for our country we have, it is the open dialogue we all grave and we know there are vast differences of opinion in anything human. Let the talking continue maybe Babel can yet be averted.
