McGreevey gave him a reference. "Mr. Cipel provided valuable input...

I guess that's one way of saying he was porking the governor.

Cipel was a dark-haired, 31-year-old poet

If there was any doubt left, this removes it.

McGreedy could always join the Navy and become a Rear Admiral.

Who the hell care about a gay governor. How does him coming out or resign affect me.

Lets talk about the Flip Flopper.

Actual post from DU:

"If that's truly the case then this gay man who's accusing him of rape is probably a Republican fright-wing plant who seduced the Governor merely to turn around and falsely claim rape in a lawsuit and expose and destroy the Governor's career and family relations."

LOL!

The New York Times, of all places, has a story which says that when he picked Cipel to be his advisor, "Gov. James E. McGreevey was asked by a reporter about rumors that he and the man were involved in a sexual relationship.Mr. McGreevey responded, "Don't be ridiculous!"

Also, guess who sponsored Cipel's visa -- Charles Kushner, McGreedy's fundraiser!

As if American politicians aren't already perceived as being to "cozy" with Israel. The most alarming problem with this scandal is that it exposed the governor's quite shockingly poor judgement.

The sources said Cipel sought a cash payment in return for promising not to file a legal action that would make public details of their relationship.

For a minute there I thought they were going to say he committed extortion.

One primary reason is that Cipel believed that the governor should continue to help him find a job, two sources said.

Where have we heard this before?

When they first met in Israel in March 2000, Cipel was a dark-haired, 31-year-old poet, a press aide for a midsize Israeli city, Rishon Le Zion. McGreevey, 43, was the boyish mayor of New Jersey's sixth-largest city

Summer lovin' had me a blast - summer lovin', happened so fast
I met a boy crazy for me - I met a boy, cute as can be
Summer days driftin' away, to uh-oh those summer nights

Sounds like what we have here a case of "blackmail", Cult of Clintonism in "high places". Sex afer all is a private matter, and BJClinton described it as a "spiritual" affair involving "demons".
