Bush could easily get clobbered by Kerry if he doeesn't do this right.
OK so it's a vanity, but it's really important.

I agree. I hope they have done all they can in advance. All the way up the coast.

How nice that we have to BRIBE citizens to vote!
This country will get exactly what it really deserves - hopefully, I won't be here when it does.

The problem is that people have come to expect the federal governemnt to help out in what is a state task.

I hear that our governor is actually the president's brother! Man. What luck!

I'm sorry, but how does a predictable natural disaster become the federal government's problem? You have private insurance right?

One of the few legitimate roles for the Federal government is to assist its citizens in times of natural disasters.

If my office gets flooded...which is VERY LIKELY...I want the President to send EMERGENCY FUNDS to my company so that we can rebuild. Then I want him to apologize.

The elder President Bush WON Florida in 1992, though the slimy Dems did their best to try to blame him for Andrew.
I suspect if things get really bad after this storm and GWB goes to FL and is seen on his hands and knees helping with the clean up the first thing the lefties will say is "can't you do more?!"

Bush didn't lose Florida because of Andrew. I live in Homestead and the people who live here, and went throught he storm, have nothing but praise for the President sending aid down here, visiting the destruction etc.
Bush lost Florida because we've been taken over by northerns who think democrats are the best thing since sliced bread.

Don't you people realize that John Kerry's solution of calling the U.N. is a far superior solution?!!!!!

Dan Rather, a couple days from now: "The timing of the Presidents getting on his hands and knees was well-orchestrated to come AFTER the hurricane struck. Why didn't he do more to prevent the disaster?"

Well, you know it all his fault in the first place, right? Absolutely keerect!!
He didn't ratify that there Keeyoto treaty, and so all them there carbons dioxide are directly attributable to him. Happened on his watch, you see.

You're right, Bush did take Florida in 92. Just ignore my previous post - well except for the state being taken over.

You need to be wary of the "it's not my problem" syndrome. That killed Bush 41.
Yep sure do have insurance. That's not the point. You obviously don't recall what a beating Bush 41 took over this same issue at the hands of Clinton.
Cities, roads, everything gets pounded. Insurance doesn't cover feeding people who have no place to go. That is where the trouble comes from. You and 10,000 of your friends loose your house, where do you go? how do you eat?
