George and Laura Bush to be on with Larry King for the full hour tonight. I don't usually watch LKL because of his lame questions. But it should be interesting.

GWB explaining the ethical dilemma and how careful we must be in respecting human life. So glad they both had an opportunity to explain their position to the American people and let everyone know they haven't placed a BAN on stem cell research.

The President speaking very clearly on stem cell research and his views. The President is protective of Laura and doesn't let Larry intimidate her.

President Bush oozes common sense. His political rival oozes something else!

President: I made sure the research was doubled.
I know the liberal media is a killer but really, why oh why can't the RNC work harder to get the facts out? I didn't know some of this myself.

Good thing you noticed I thought it was just me. He's very rude in attempting to cut her off.

GWB and Laura know more about stem cell than LK. lol.
They effectively shut him down on that topic.

LB: There's no ban. There is private funding.
President: I do think it's important to promote the culture of life.

I so admire the President's sheer guts in standing up for a culture of life.

GWB and LB are pointing out that there are 22 lines for research.
Remember that folks, when libs bring up the mythical ban on stem cell research.
Bush is the first President to give federal funding to stem cell research.
You don't get federal grant money with out regulation.....the regulation protects the tax payer who is the one who provided the money for Govt. funds.
To: Howlin
It would be cheaper for the government to have the president give freepers pep talks than to have us bill our insurance companies for valium!

The First Lady says her father died of Alzheimer's, 5 minutes later King seems surprised to hear it when the President mentions it again. In the name of sensitivity King presses the President and yet he is as cold and insensitive as a rock when the opportunity is right in front of him.

If only MRS BUSH would run for president in the future. She would bury HRC if they ran against each other. Well, we can dream. LWB sure is telling the true story about stem cell research. Excellent.

I wish they had talked more about adult stems. We are having cord stems done. They are actually more fungible/better & less likely to be rejected...
