There's been a flurry of activity on the illegal immigrant drivers license issue in the past day or so. Sen. Gil Cedillo says the governor has given him a counter-offer to his latest proposal and the two are in serious negotiations. Cedillo says a deal is near. Of course, lots of Democrats have said they were "near" deals with the governor this year that never seemed to materialize. Cedillo plans to brief reporters on the latest developments later today.

Jeeze. I sure hope that Arnold is once again leading Cedillo and the other socialist-racists down the primrose path. If he agrees to anything giving the incidents of LEGAL presence, to those here illegally, I'll be the first to sign the next recall petition.
Ping. Worth pinging to any Cal government lists you may have?? Your call.
As soon as it is signed, the petitions to overturn will be waiting on the web.
He said he would sign nothing with an urgency clause attached. Even if an agreement is made the people will have th opportunity to overturn it. Then, let loose the next recall petition!
Never underestimate a pol. AS has to be smart enough to know that he is history to do this. I will be #2 to recall him if this happens. But who really is AS. What has hew done to improve anything for us here in lala land.
Say what?
Is that sorta, kinda like being a little bit pregnant?
Anything he agrees to will give aid and comfort to our enemy. Any official acknowledgment of their presence, beyond a deportation order, and the dam has burst, the barn door is open, the cat's out of the bag, take your pick, and the damage is done.
If Schwarzenegger speaks we loose.

Thanks pogo... I'll ping a couple for the heck of it.
There was supposedly an SB1160 hearing today... anybody know the outcome?
When Arnold was elected he said he would sign a drivers license bill for illegals if it meant his requirements. So far the legislature has not come up with a bill Arnold could sign. I heard McClintock on the radio the other day say that the legislature may never come up with a bill Arnold could accept. As a result a bill may never hit the governors desk. In any event this is a big test for Arnold. If he expects to keep those high positive ratings and get reelected he cannot allow illegals to get licenses. It would probably get overturned by the initiative process any way, but why risk the chance.
I wish he had the guts to just say that it was not open to negotiation, period. But I don't see Arnold taking a tough stand on anything.

Does CA require SS #'s for a drivers license?
Yes. It's listed in the requirements here:
http://www.dmv.ca.gov/dl/dl_info.htm#2500
As you know, there's a whole bunch of hearings on several malignantly Socialistic propositions. I'm standing on one foot, then the other waiting for up-dates by anyone!!!
Staying tuned...
There is no reason whatsover to support these criminals. They should be rounde up and deported.
I hate to say it, but yes.
We'll be lucky if the legislative info site is updated by Fri. I think cal had a better site that was updated sooner. I'm in Grass Valley so I don't have access to my links.
The get a License they VOTE. Good bye US of A...
