TRYING TO TAKE ATTENTION AWAY FROM THE SWIFT VET ISSUE.
Yeh, something doesn't smell right on this one. Why would he announce now for his resignation November 15th? That smacks of suspicion.

He announced ahead of the lawsuit, but postponed the effective date because, otherwise, a new governor would have had to be elected in November.

Why would he announce now for his resignation November 15th?Because (according to my kid, who's a NJ resident), if he resigned earlier, they'd have to have a special election to fill the post. Resigning as of that date means the state senate president will finish out the term (Jan 2006).
