Lie #1. - "I proudly and I think rightly voted against this prescription drug bill."

"It's only a faulty recollection... I was near the bill when I thought about voting against it..."

It was a vote ricochet. He was close to voting, then realized he was too close, then turned to run and the vote went off and hit him in the a$$.

Dem spin: He mispoke. He meant to say:

"I proudly think I rightly voted against this prescription drug bill."

I remember this. He missed BOTH prescription drug bill votes. My personal thought at the time was that he missed them purposely, so he couldn't be pinned down on them.

This way Republicans can't say "Kerry voted against drugs for Medicare", and he can say he didn't vote for a Repub medicare bill the libs keep trying to paint as bad.

I guess I'm "near" Canada because I'm in the bordering country...(albeit 2000 miles away)

Too many faulty recollections, make you sound like an alzheimers patient, or at least senile.
