Clever photoshop of the .50 magnum, hehe. Can you imagine trying to fire a BMG round from a pistol? Ouch.

It should look similar to this, right Tex? This is the Model 29 from 1955. It made famous by Clint Eastwood in the "Dirty Harry" films.

I have....they are no longer owned by that Limey toilet bowl company....the people responsible for the big brown nosing are history...
Yeah they still add some PC safety features...that are not only useless but dangerous to getting the weapon into action in a timely manner...imo
But their new line of SC handguns are also designated by the letters PD (Personal Defense)
so S&W publically confesses and promotes the notion that handguns are for protecting human life...bottom line...

S&W was owned by a foreign company when they sold out to the gun grabbers. Since then, they've been purchased by an American company and they seem to be restoring their former glory, so most people have stopped boycotting them.

Actually, ruger hasn't really stood firm. Bill ruger was the one who initally brought up the idea to ban high-cap magazines around 1989 in order to protect his rifles from being banned (and to protect his handguns from the then-new glock wonder 9's being introduced).
Ruger, S&W and now glock have all done different things to protect themselves but in the process showed a willingness to screw gun owners and the 2nd amendment.
Oh, and add olympic arms to the list for introducing a .223 pistol which lead to the banning of .223 AP ammo - even when they were warned by the gun community of the consequences!

Look at his picture again. Chambers have been elongated to house actual .50 BMG rounds. Big difference.

Browning Machine Gun. I think that's not a REAL gun. It would probably break every bone in your hand, and several elsewhere. Surgery may be required to remove the front sight from the shooters forehead.

We drove the traitor Smith out. This is a new guy. He's all for the second amendment.
I'm willing to let it go, but keep in mind that the new owner put money into the pockets of the devil. If we were to boycott until the liquidation sale, then future companies would know that even if they got caught doing a nasty deal with the devil, they could always find buyers, and get a solid price for the company by pointing out that it didn't take long for Smith to recover from the worst gun boycott ever.
A boycott isn't about making US feel better, it is about teaching a powerful lesson that prevents future sellouts.
Buy Smith now, and you make future sellouts by other companies more likely.

BMG stands for "Browning Machine Gun." This caliber is reserved for hearty souls firing Barrett rifles and hitting things at ranges normally associated with indirect fire weapons (mortars, artillery, nuclear weapons)!
Odd little note. The expression "the whole 9 yards" has nothing to do with football. I comes from the belted ammunition (.50 BMG) used in the P51 Mustang. When you "gave him the whole 9 yards," you fired all the ammo in the belt.
Cheers,
