Parapharasing the article:
The U.S. Rep. Tommy Wright was arrested Tuesday for "inappropriate" behavior with another man in a public restroom.
A park employee saw him drop his pants.
"... As I was dropping my pants down to use the bathroom, the ranger came in. The guy was between me and the ranger," Wright states. "The ranger came in and said, 'You guys are under arrest.' I said, 'Arrest?' I proceeded to leave."
Here's from the New Orleans Times-Picayune:
PINEVILLE, La. (AP) A man accused of having sexual contact with a state representative in a public bathroom in Pineville has denied that such an incident took place.
Charles Locker II, 32, is accused along with Rep. Tommy Wright of obscenity stemming from an alleged incident Monday at the Buhlow Recreation Area in Pineville.
Wright, who has been suspended with pay from his job at Louisiana Technical College, also said a misunderstanding led to his arrest and that of Locker. Both were booked with obscenity and released on bond.
Locker's attorney, Phyllis Mann, said the case stems from a "misperception by a park ranger." Mann said Locker does not know Wright and did not engage in sexual activity with him.
Gregory Sanchez, a Red River Waterway Commission park ranger, filed a complaint with the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office on Monday.
Sanchez told deputies he had observed two men "engaged in sexual intercourse in the restroom of the Buhlow Recreation Area," according to an initial police report.
Rapides Parish sheriff's deputies said there have been complaints about activity at the recreation area. The complaints include people "hanging out" at all hours and vandalizing the site.
In a prepared statement, Wright, D-Jena, said he had stopped at the area to use the restroom after attending meetings in Alexandria.
Who the Hell drops their pants to pee?
Representative Wright, 48, defeated Republican Tony Owens of Winnfield on Nov. 15, 2003, the same day that Democrat Kathleen Blanco won the governorship and carried the normally Republican LaSalle Parish over Bobby Jindal. James Sandifer, R-Dry Prong (Grant Parish), who now threatens a recall attempt against Wright, was an unsuccessful candidate for the position in the October 2003 primary.
Michael Jackson and Rosie O'Donnell...
Women, 4 year-olds and senile old men.
Welcome to the new America if Kerry is elected. Demoncrats will be able to molest your children, defile your neighborhood and silence your speech. Of course whatever they say is the truth (with the media's help) and we conservatives are just liars. God help us
Two high-ranking Democrat officials, in one day demonstrate their perversity. Gee, what will tomorrow bring?
