Last week, Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry returned to September 11, 2001. He criticized President Bush for remaining in an elementary school classroom 7 minutes after the president had been told a plane had struck the second World Trade Center tower. Mr. Kerry said, had he been president at the time, "I would have told those kids very politely and nicely that the president of the United States had something that he needed to attend to."

And then he would have sat in a stupor for 40 minutes. All talk, no action.
Good, crisp writing by Cal this time. Key paragraph:
Yet Mr. McCain has criticized Mr. Kerry's antiwar activities. In a May 14, 1973, issue of U.S.News & World Report, Mr. McCain wrote that testimony by Mr. Kerry and others before Sen. J. William Fulbright's Foreign Relations Committee was "the most effective propaganda [my North Vietnamese captors] had to use against us."
I'd heard about this quote, but not seen it anywhere else. All you folks in swing states with undecided family, friends and colleagues, get to work!
Guitarist.
Kind of a generic title, no?
The actual title is: "Why truth matters"
Could you please fix it. Thanks.
Sorry. Still a toddler at posting.
THIS really needs to be made public.
The truth is gettin gout there. Kerry has cooked his own goose, after all these years, he's dead meat.
i like Cal, seems like a stand up guy...
The left continually seems to get away with the UN-truth. Liberal politicians say it.......liberal voters believe it.
Bump so I can find it tomorrow and send it to my fence-sitting friends.
Looks like Cal has been lurking here at FR.
Even better, a President Kerry would have sought advice and counsel from the kids.
Kerry: "Golly boys and girls, bad men have flown jets into skyscrapers in New York killing THOUSANDS! What should we do?"
Kids: "Kiwl dem befaw dey kiwl us more!!"
Kerry: "What about a dialo..."
Kids: SEND DA AWMY an BOM DEM...NOW!!!"
Kerry:"Shouldn't we try to understand why they want to hur...."
Kids:"NO!"
President Kerry: "I guess you little pukes aren't so smart after all...shove it."
Even ole' Thereza or however she is spelling her name, said, when being interviewed by Chris Matthews, that the President shouldn't be blasted for the way he reacted to the news of the towers being struck. She said, "I think we all were dumbfounded at the news, and how does one know how one would react in such a situation?"
It was the smartest thing to ever come out of her mouth.
