My Sex Education Experience
Myself

Posted on 08/11/2004 4:13:13 PM PDT by AVNevis

If you can believe it or not, Planned Parenthood teaches the sex education classes at my middle school. (Yes, the school board actually allows an activist organization to teach sex ed.) It was amazing some of the things they said. They actually let us know that sex before 18 was illegal. However, then they told us not to worry about breaking it because the police will never catch you. As the week went on it actually seemed like they were promoting juvinile sex. The instructor gleefully talked about how to put a condom on. She explained how flavored condoms could make oral sex a more enjoyable experience. I had to practically force her to say that lying to your parents about sex was a bad thing(I did this by asking her if lying to your parents about sex was a bad thing during annonymous question time.) Even then she didn't seem too sincere. If you have a middle or high school student in the Sacramento Unified School District or many other school districts, this is what your kids are learning. Please, for their sake, give them a good talk about not having sex until marrage before this is taught at your child's school.

P.S. I am planning on starting a Conservative Club at my High School sometime this upcoming year after I get to know the school(I'm an incoming freshman.) Getting PP out will certainly be a priority

I'm sure I'll have the same thing this year in high school, so I'll think of how I can sneak a tape-recorder in.

A regular micro-cassette recorder from Staples or Office Depot should work fine. I used them to record lectures. They worked fine, certainly good enough for transcribing purposes.

What you are doing is moral, but probably illegal. It would be best to make a recording, make copies or transcribe it, and then distribute it to the media. Then they can't ignore it.

Thanks for all your advice today. I have decided that instead of bringing a tape-recorder to school during sex-ed week, I will just take diligent notes. Then I will type the notes up and send them in the form of a press release to all the media outlets.

I would have done the tape-recorder thing if it wasn't on shacky legal ground. However, if I get a lawyer or a talk-show host to defend me if something goes wrong I might re-consider.

I will post another thread closer to sex-ed week. Until then I'll keep you updated on the latest happening in my liberal high school.

Cavan, I think were all fed up with your personal insults. Please Stop. By the way, I noticed you still hadn't answered my question about your evidence I am not 14.

>>I'm new to FR. I know how to use Spell Check on replies, but how do you use it when you are the original poster.<<

If you take your original post and treat it as if it was a reply on a different thread, you can then use the Spell Check.

This will also add in the html codes, so when you preview it you will be able to make sure the paragraphs are where you want them to be.

Then copy your text from the Reply box and add it into the Body of Thread box.

If you should make a major error click on the Report Abuse tag and ask for it to be deleted or corrected.

Hope this helps you.

"'Flavored condoms'!! I about fell out of my chair when I read that."

This will really drop you then...

http://www.condom.com/trustex.html

http://www.ripnroll.com/flavorip.htm

http://www.suntimes.com/output/sneed/cst-nws-sneed28.html

that last is about a state governor who killed such a program in his state, as he has daughters... some other random junk tagged on, as well, but you don't need to read that far. I confess I didn't read far enough into it to figure out which state, but it it is the Chicago Sun Times...

That's really the rub. Sex before 18 isn't illegal in your state. It's perfectly legal for example for 2 16 year olds to have sex, or a 16 and a 19 year old. 16 and 20 however would be illegal.

See sections 261-269 of your penal code.
